Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on this item. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in favor of or in opposition to the matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brandes stated he was concerned about the definition of accessory <br />buildings and would like to see the wording changed to accessory structures, tO <br />allow more control regarding play equipment. Council concurred. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Council- <br />member Mohr, that Ordinance No. 1150, to be read by title only and waiving further <br />reading thereof, approving the application of the City Council to amend certain <br />sections of the zoning code as they pertain to the height and design of accessory <br />structLLres in residential districts, be introduced. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Butler <br /> <br />RZ-84-t3, Application of the City of Pleasanton for prezoning of an approximately <br />59 acre site to the PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Open Space District~ or to any <br />other district consistent with the General Plan, located approximately 1~800 feet <br />west of the intersection of Highland Oaks Drive and Foothill Road <br /> <br />Consider Adoption of Negative Declaration <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report (SR 84:440) dated August 8, 1984, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on the application and the nega- <br />tive declaration. <br /> <br /> Ms. Marty Gries, partner/owner of the subject property, stated she originally <br />wanted to come into the City under the low density/open space zoning district but <br />Planning Commission recommended PUD/open space zoning. She was concerned about the <br />development density that this would allow, especially as it relates to her existing <br />house and structures. Mayor Mercer explained that this would allow her present <br />buildings and allow for future development of the type she desires. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in opposition to this item. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing closed <br />on the application and the negative declaration. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that <br />Resolution No. 84-416, determining on the basis of a review of initial environmental <br />study done for this project, that no significant environmental impact would occur as <br />outlined in the City's guidelines and that a negative declaration is appropriate in <br />connection with the application of the City of Pleasanton for prezoning of an approxi- <br />mately 59 acre site located approximately 1,800 feet west of the intersection of High- <br />land Oaks Drive and Foothill Road, to the PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Open Space <br />District, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Butler <br /> <br /> 9. 8/14/84 <br /> <br /> <br />
