It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that <br />Ordinance No. 1151, to be read by title only and waiving fn/rther reading thereof, <br />approving the application of the City of Pleasanton for prezoning of an approxi- <br />mately 59 acre site located approximately 1,800 feet west of the intersection of <br />Highland Oaks Drive and Foothill Road, to the PUD (Planned Unit Development)-0pen <br />Space District, be introduced. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Butler <br /> <br />Consideration of Adoption of Negative Declaration in connection with the application <br />of the City of Pleasanton for formation of an assessment district to fund construc- <br />tion of facilities for the City's Fire Department~ including an additional fire <br />station and a training facility. The proposed district includes appr?ximately 17655 <br />acres of which approximately 1,440 acres will be levied assessments <br /> Mr. Hill presented his report (SR 84:425) dated August 7, 1984, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on the negative declaration. <br /> No one in the audience spoke in favor of or in opposition to this item. <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that <br />Resolution No. 84-417, determining on the basis of a review of initial environmental <br />study done for this project, that no significant environmental impact would occur as <br />outlined in the City's guidelines and that a negative declaration is appropriate in <br />connection with the application of the City of Pleasanton for formation of an assess- <br />ment district to fund construction of facilities for the City~s Fire Department, in- <br />cluding an additional fire station and training facility, the proposed district in- <br />cludes approximately 1,655 acres of which approximately 1,440 acres will be levied <br />assessments, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Butler <br /> <br />MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br /> There were no matters continued for decision presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />SPECIAL REPORTS <br /> There were no special reports presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br />Actions Taken by the Board of Adjustment, resign Review Board, and Planning Commis- <br />sion at their meeting of 8-8-84 <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report (SR 84:424) dated August 7, 1984, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer requested the appeal of Z-84-185, application of Patrick Joy and <br />Jerry Loving for design review approval for a fourteen-unit residential condominium <br />complex on an approximately .5 acre site located at the southwest corner of the <br />intersection of Peters Avenue and Rose Avenue, because he felt the density was <br />sufficiently high to be reviewed.
