It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that <br />Resolution No. 84-414, approving the application of the City of Pleasanton for the <br />construction of an underpass structure and related improvements to allow for the <br />future extension of Hacienda Drive from its existing eastern terminus underneath the <br />tracks ot the Southern Pacific Transportation Company located approximately 750 feet <br />northeast of the intersection of Gibraltar Drive and Hacienda Drive, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Butler <br /> <br />RZ-84-8, Application of the City of Pleasanton to prezone the approximately 8 acre <br />site located on the north side of Vineyard Avenue opposite Mavis'Drive to the PUD <br />'(Planned Unit Development)-Medium Density Residential District or any other zoning <br />district consistent with the General Plan <br /> <br />Consider Adoption of Negative Declaration <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report (SR 84:430) dated August 8, 1984, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on the application and the nega- <br />tive declaration. <br /> <br /> Mr. Brad Caroline, 4487 Pleasanton Avenue, spoke in favor of the prezoning for <br />this property. <br /> <br /> Mr. Steve Hughes, 587 Touriga Court, asked at what stage was development for <br />the property. Mayor Mercer advised this is only the prezoning step in the process <br />of development. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing closed <br />on the application and the negative declaration. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mohr, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that <br />Resolution No. 84-415, determining on the basis of a review of initial environmental <br />study done for this project, that no significant environmental impact would occur as <br />outlined in the City's guidelines and that a negative declaration is appropriate in <br />connection with the application of the City of Pleasanton to prezone the approxi- <br />mately 8 acre site located on the north side of Vineyard Avenue opposite Mavis Drive <br />to the PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Medium Density Residential District, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Butler <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mohr, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that <br />Ordinance No. 1149, to be read by title only and waiving further reading thereof, <br />approving the application of the City of Pleasanton to prezone the approximately 8 <br />acre site located on the north side of Vineyard Avenue opposite Mavis Drive to the <br />PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Medium Density Residential District, be introduced. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Butler <br /> <br />RZ-84-9, Application of the City Council to amend certain sections of the zoning <br />code as they pertain to the height and design of accessory buildings in residen- <br />tial districts <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report (SR 84:431) dated August 8, 1984, regarding this <br />matter. 8. 8/14/84 <br /> <br /> <br />
