Mayor Mercer declared this item continued to the next meeting for full Council <br />attendance. <br /> <br />Recommendation to Purchase Bleachers for the Softball Complex~ PAeasanton .Sports and <br />Recreation Park <br /> Mrs. Bengtson presented her report (SR 84:284) dated May 17, 1984, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that <br />Resolution No. 84-259, approving the purchase of eight aluminum bleachers for the <br />softball complex at Pleasanton Sports and Recreation Park, for approximately $800.00 <br />each for a total cost of $6,400, and amending the 1983-84 Capital Improvement Program <br />to include funding for the bleachers and reducing the amount budgeted for the Softball <br />Complex Project for Fiscal Year 1985-86 by a commensurate amount, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Butler <br /> <br />Recommendation Re~arding Order of Selection of Parkland to be Dedicated by Ponderosa <br />Homes under terms of the Long Term Agreement <br /> Mrs. Bengtson presented her report (SR 84:289) dated May 17, 1984, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that <br />Resolution No. 84-260, approving the following order of parkland dedication under <br />terms of the Long Term Agreement with Ponderosa Homes: <br /> <br />September 1, 1984 - Front five acres of property located fronting on the west side <br /> of Hopyard Road, north of Valley, south of the canal; <br /> <br />September !, 1985 - Five acres of property located west of the first five acres <br /> dedicated, north of Valley Avenue, east of the residential area; <br /> <br />S~ptember !, 1986 - Five acres of property west of the second five acres recommended <br /> to be dedicated in a general configuration to conform with the <br /> total parcel as shown in the Pleasanton General Plan; <br /> <br />September !, 1987 - Five acres of property located somewhere in the eastern side of <br /> the Ponderosa project as shown in the Pleasanton General Plan, <br /> <br />be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Butler <br /> <br />Initiation of General Plan Amendment around Corporation Yard and Adjacent City Property <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report (SR 84:280) dated May 15', '1984, r~arding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Mike McQuaid, representing Pacific Locomotive Association, stated the report <br />assumes the elimination of the railroad right-of-way and does not address the petroleum <br />easement. He stated he felt these matters should be considered in light of the fact <br />that the railroad tracks may not be abandoned. Mr. Walker advised that no buildings <br />are being planned for construction over the easement, and that the City is aware of the <br />pipeline. <br /> <br /> 16. 5/22/84 <br /> <br /> <br />
