Application of Gus Enterprises and the Prudential Insurance CompanX of America for PUD <br />[Planned Onit Development)-development plan approval of a 216 room hotel/restaurant <br />c_omp.lex consistin~ of approximately 140,000 sq. ft. of buildin.g area and related <br />facilities on an approximat~Ay ten acre site at the northeast corn.e? of Hopyard Road <br />and Gibraltar Drive. Zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Com- <br />mercia! and Offices/General and Limited Industrial District <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report (SR 84:271) dated May 14, 1984, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on this item. <br /> <br /> Mr. Roger Gage, Prudential Insurance Company, speaking as co-applicant with Gus <br />Enterprises and Sheraton Hotels, presented architectural drawings comparing the present <br />application with the original application, reviewing in detail the changes being made <br />to allow better location of buildings on the complex, and improved landscaping. <br /> <br /> Council discussion ensued regarding parking spaces for the project. Mr. Gage stated <br />the project meets the parking requirements of City ordinance code. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in opposition to this item. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Butler, that <br />Resolution No. 84-256, approving the application of Gus Enterprises and the Prudential <br />Insurance Company of America for PUD (Planned Unit Development)-development plan approval <br />of a 216 room hotel/restaurant complex consisting of approximately 140,000 sq. ft. of <br />building area and related facilities on an approximately ten acre site at the northeast <br />corner of Hopyard Road and Gibraltar Drive, subject to all of the conditions contained <br />in Planning Commission Resolution No. 2465, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />ApDlication of the Taubman Company~ W.ickliff anj Company and Doubletree~ Inc.~ for <br />design review appFpval of a six story~ 174 room hotel and related facilities on an <br />approximately four acre site located adjacent and to the west of 6000 Stoneridge Mall <br />Road. The property is zoned CR(~) (Regional Commercial-Peripheral) District <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on this item, and continued to the <br />meeting of June 12, 1984, 8:00 P.M., in the Pleasanton Council Chambers, at the request <br />of the applicant. <br /> <br />Application for an amendment to the Development Agreement between the City of Pleasanton <br />and Wells Fargo Bank, National Association for the Stoneridge Shopping Center and sur- <br />9'ounding'peripherai properties. The amendment is required to coHform the terms of the <br />Develbpment Agreement with the plans presented by Doubletree, Inc., for the four acre <br />site located adjacent and to the west of 6000 Stoneridge Mall Road to use a portion of <br />the property for a hotel. Zoning fo~ the property is CR(pY (~egional Commercial'peri- <br />pheral) District <br /> <br />Consider Adoption of Mitigated Negative Declaration <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on this item and continued to the <br />meeting of June 12, 1984, 8:00 P.M., in the Pleasanton Council Chambers, at the request <br />of the applicant. <br /> <br /> 12. 5/22/84 <br /> <br /> <br />
