Mr. Glenn advised that the City is aware of the potential geological problems and are concerned about this matter, but as a general rule it is normally City policy not to get involved in detailed geological studies at the prezoning process of a piece of property. The City Attorney advised that it would be impossible to do geological studies now before knowing what type of development is planned for the property. Vice Mayor Brandes declared the public hearing open on the application and the negative declaration. No one in the audience spoke in favor of or in opposition to this item. It was moved by Councilmember Mohr, and seconded by Vice Mayor Brandes, that Resolu- tion No. 84-231, determining on the basis of a review of initial environmental study done for this project, that no significant environmental impact would occur as outlined in the City's guidelines and that a negative declaration is appropriate in connection with the application of the City of Pleasanton to prezone approximately ].20 acres at 4440 and 4432 Foothill Road, west side, to the PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Low Den- sity Residential/Open Space District, be adopted.
