CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> Councilmember Brandes presented his memorandum dated March 27, 1984, regarding <br />Park Capital Improvement Program Project - Perimeter Fencing and Warning Track for <br />Phase IV, pleasanton Sports and Recreation Park. After discussion, it was moved by <br />Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that Resolution No. 84-147, <br />approving perimeter fencing and warning track for Phase IV, at Pleasanton Sports and <br />Recreation Park, and authorizing amendment of the Park Capital Improvement Program <br />budget to cover this improvement, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Mohr <br /> <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> Mr. Ben Tarvet, 1144 Arak Court, representing Pleasanton Today and Tomorrow, pre- <br />sented statements and questions to the Council, and asking Council to take a firm <br />position before the April !0th election relative to commercial development in the City, <br />to allow the voters of Pleasanton to know the visions of Council for the City. Mayor <br />Butler stated that Council has made their position completely clear on this issue, and <br />that the record so states. Councilmember Mercer added that this Council meeting is <br />not the time or place to debate this issue. <br /> <br /> Mr. Jerry Goudreau, 5451 Corte Paloma, presented his written report entitled <br />"Pleasanton Jobs Projections - An Update based upon Floorspace Development Schedule <br />through 1991 used in March 22 1984 Update to Fiscal Impact Report". He also presented <br />graphs to illustrate his report. Councilmember Mercer stated that Mr. Goudreau's <br />figures are not accurate and suggested he review a recent report of staff related to <br />an Update on North Pleasanton Projects. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />Appeal of Gerarda Stocking of a decision of the Board of Adjustment grantin~ a variance <br />for only four subdivision signs rather than the requested six signs for Tract 4372 <br />located east of Sunol Boulevard between Happy Valley Road and the Rosepointe Subdivision <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report (SR 84:159) dated March 20, 1984, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> Hayor Butler declared the public hearing open on this item. <br /> <br /> Hs.
