Proclaim support of the California Literacy Campaign to combat adult illiteracy. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Mohr <br /> <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCILMEMBERS <br /> Councilmember Brandes asked if the City has any control relative to the fencing <br />being installed on Stoneridge Drive behind the sewer farm. Mr. Walker advised this <br />matter will be discussed at the Joint Sewer Committee meeting scheduled on Tursday, <br />March 29, 1984. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brandes asked if the paper bins scattered throughout the City are <br />sponsored by any of the local organizations; and if they are not, could the l~ins be <br />removed by the City. Mr. Walker advised the bins have no name on them so the City <br />does not know who they belong to, and that they can be removed if they are on public <br />property. Council instructed staff to investigate this matter and to remove an bins <br />that are on public property, and to notify property owners that they can have t~e bins <br />removed if they so desire. <br /> 3. 3/27/84 <br /> <br /> <br />
