Adoption of Ordinance No. 1126, approving the application of the City of Pleasanton <br />to amend the Zoning Ordinance with respect to the regulation of home daycare facil- <br />ities for children in residential areas <br />(Intro. 2-14-84, 3-Ayes, 2-Abstained) <br /> Mayor Butler stated that Ordinance No. 1126 was introduced on February 14, 1984 <br />by a vote of 3-Ayes, 2-Abstained, and that it was now in order to adopt the ordinance. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that <br />Ordinance No. 1126, approving the application of the City of Pleasanton to amend the <br />Zoning Ordinance with respect to the regulation of home daycare facilities for children <br />in residential areas, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAINED:Councilmember Brandes <br /> <br />SPECIAL REPORTS <br /> There were no Special Reports presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br />Actions Taken by the Board of Adjustment~ Design Review Board, and Planning Commission <br />at the~ meeting of 2-22-84 <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report (SR 84:100) dated February 23, 1984, regarding <br />this matter for the information of the Council. No action was required or taken by <br />Council on the item. <br /> <br />Recommendation of the Park and Recreation Commission Regarding Support of the Harris <br />Bill (AB 737) which Amends the Roberti-Z'Berg. Urban Open Space Program <br /> Mr. Walker presented the report of the Director of Recreation and Human Resources <br />(SR 84:119) dated February 23, 1984, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Councilmember <br />Mercer, that Resolution No. 84-109, supporting AB ?37, the Harris Bill proposed several <br />amendments to the Roberti Z'Berg Urban Open Space Program, as recommended by the Park <br />and Recreation Commission, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br />Castlewood Request for Sewer Capacity <br /> Mr. Walker presented his report (SR 84:101) dated February 22, 1984, regarding <br />this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Butler elaborated on the status of availability of sewer capacity and stated <br />that he could support the request only if the City gets additional capacity in the <br />future expansion plans. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mayor Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, that the City <br />Manager be authorized to write a letter to the County stating that Pleasanton will <br />give consideration to their request for sewer capacity for Castlewood with the follow- <br />ing conditions: (1) Pleasanton will grant 39,000 gpd sewer capacity to Castlewood from <br />existing flows in the LAVWMA system; (2) Pleasanton will consider additional flows up to <br />a total of 92,000 gpd to the Alameda County Service Area R-1967-1 (Castlewood) pro- <br />vided the LAV~A facility is allowed to expand to at least 21.0 mgd~ (3) Castlewood <br /> <br /> 9. 2/28/84 <br /> <br /> <br />
