She advised this would take eight to twelve months. She <br />stated she did not believe this would set a precedent, and the denial of the variance <br />seemed unfair in light of the fact that the City allows construction trailers to be <br />located on building sites and she did not feel her situation was that different. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in opposition to this item. <br /> <br /> Mayor Butler declared the public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes to deny the appeal. <br /> <br /> The motion died for lack of a second. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that <br />Resolution No. 84-105, approving the appeal of Don and Carole Beeman, and approving <br />a variance from the provisions of Ordinance No. 919 (PUD-79-2), approving the "Twelve <br />Oaks" project southwest of the intersection of Foothill Road and Bernal Avenue and <br />other provisions of the zoning ordinance dealing with mobile homes, to allow the tem- <br />porary installation and use of a mobile home approximately 1600 sq. ft. in size during <br />the construction of a permanent residence at 8011 Dorothea Court, subject to the fol- <br />lowing conditions: (1) that this variance is granted for a period of twelve (12) <br />months from the date of approval of case V-84-1 and applies only to the installation <br />of a 24 ft. x 64 ft. mobile home, the appearance of which is substantially as shown <br />in the brochure, Exhibit A, on file with the Planning Division; (2) that prior to in- <br />stallation of the trailer, the applicant shall provide the City with a performance <br />bond in the amount necessary to cover removal of the mobile home from the subject pro- <br />perty and sufficient to allow for storage of the structure in a mobile home park or <br />other storage yard until the applicant removes it or it can in some other way be dis- <br />posed of; (3) that the mobile home be installed in conformance with the Building and <br />Fire Codes of the City of Pleasanton and that all necessary permits be applied for and <br />issued prior to occupancy of the mobile home, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: Councilmember Brandes <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Appeal of a decision of the Planning Commission denying the application of Wagerman, <br />Black, Cartlidge, et al, for PUD (Planned Unit Development) d~velopment pAan ~p?roval <br />for a proposed thirty-five lot low density residential project with lots rangmng in <br />size from approximately 23,000 to 58,000 sq. ft., on approximately 25 acres located <br />in the general vicinity of the northwest corner of Mohr and Martin Avenues.
