Adoption of Resolution No. 84-103, approvlng the KNBR 1984 "Good Times" Parade <br /> permit application, to be held May 27, 1984, subject to all conditions set forth <br /> in Staff Report 84:116, dated February 23, 1984, and amending the 1983-84 budget <br /> to include the cost of both City personnel overtime and the cost of providing <br /> necessary portable toilets. <br /> <br />x. Adoption of Resolution No. 84-104, approving agreement with Alameda County to <br /> extend the Pleasanton Library hours of operation to include Mondays, 10:00 a.m. <br /> to 5:00 p.m.; amending the 1983-84 budget accordingly; and authorizing execution <br /> of the agreement by the appropriate city officials. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCILMEMBERS <br /> Councilmember Brandes asked if the City has any control over the improvements, <br />i.e., the ugly fence, being constructed at the sewer pond on the north side of Stone- <br />ridge. He requested staff to investigate this matter. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mercer requested staff to get information regarding the pollution <br />of underground water by Lawrence Livermore Lab; Zone 7Ts role in controlling the pol- <br />lution; what assurance does the City of Pleasanton have that our water is not being <br />polluted; and what will be the final outcome of the investigation being completed by <br />the Regional Water Quality Control Board. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mercer requested staff to prepare an update report regarding the <br />status of developments in the North Pleasanton area, for review by Council at their <br />meeting of March 13, 1984. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> Councilmember Wood advised that Gene Finch has been appointed to the Community <br />Action Board of ACTEB, and that funds have been allocated for the summer youth work <br />program. <br /> <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> No one in the audience addressed the Chair. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />Appeal of a decision of the Board of Adjustment denying approval of a variance from <br />the provisions of Ordinance No. 919 (PUD-79-2), approving the "Twelve Oaks" project <br />~Ut~west o~ the intersection of Foothill Road and Bernal Avenue and Other provisions <br />6~ the zoning ordinance dealing with mobile homes, to allow the temporary installa- <br /> <br /> 3. 2/28/84 <br /> <br /> <br />
