Adoption of Resolution No. 84-102, approving the Pleasanton YoUth Soccer Run per- mit application, to be held March 11, 1984, subject to all conditions set forth in Staff Report 84:114, dated February 22, 1984, and amending the 1983-84 budget to include the expected police overtime associated with this event. w. Adoption of Resolution No. 84-103, approvlng the KNBR 1984 "Good Times" Parade permit application, to be held May 27, 1984, subject to all conditions set forth in Staff Report 84:116, dated February 23, 1984, and amending the 1983-84 budget to include the cost of both City personnel overtime and the cost of providing necessary portable toilets. x. Adoption of Resolution No. 84-104, approving agreement with Alameda County to extend the Pleasanton Library hours of operation to include Mondays, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; amending the 1983-84 budget accordingly; and authorizing execution of the agreement by the appropriate city officials. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler NOES: None ABSENT: None MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCILMEMBERS Councilmember Brandes asked if the City has any control over the improvements, i.e., the ugly fence, being constructed at the sewer pond on the north side of Stone- ridge. He requested staff to investigate this matter. Councilmember Mercer requested staff to get information regarding the pollution of underground water by Lawrence Livermore Lab; Zone 7Ts role in controlling the pol- lution; what assurance does the City of Pleasanton have that our water is not being polluted; and what will be the final outcome of the investigation being completed by the Regional Water Quality Control Board. Councilmember Mercer requested staff to prepare an update report regarding the status of developments in the North Pleasanton area, for review by Council at their meeting of March 13, 1984. CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS Councilmember Wood advised that Gene Finch has been appointed to the Community Action Board of ACTEB, and that funds have been allocated for the summer youth work program.
