Resolution Making Application to LAFCO, Agreeing to Exchange of Property Tax Revenue, and Initiating Prezoning - Annexation No. 106, Catholic Church Mr. Warnick presented his report (SR 84:96) dated February 22, 1984, regarding this matter. It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that Resolution No. 84-111, making application to LAFCO for Annexation No. 106, Roman Catholic Church property located southerly of the Bernal Avenue Extension; Resolution No. 84-112, agreeing to the exchange of property tax revenue in connection with Annexa- tion No. 106, Roman Catholic Church property located southerly of the Bernal Avenue Extension; and Resolution No. 84-113, initiating prezoning for Annexation No. 106, Roman Catholic Church property located southerly of the Bernal Avenue Extension, be adopted. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler NOES: None ABSENT: None Recommendation for Disposal of Surplus Property - Northwest Corner Peters Avenue and Bernal Avenue Mr. Walker presented his report (SR 84:65) dated February 3, 1984, regarding this matter. He stated there has been a change in his recommendation since he had written the staff report. He met with Mr. Marment, owner of the property adjacent to the City property, who desires to purchase this property. Mr. Walker recommended that he be authorized to negotiate with Mr. Marment for his purchase of the subject property. Mr. George Marment, 403 Oak Lane, Pleasanton, stated he concurred with the recom- mendation of the City Manager, and would agree to maintain the landscaping on this parcel until such time as construction could commence on the parcel. After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Council- member Brandes, that Resolution No. 84-114, declaring the parcel of land (approxi- mately 3,700 square feet) located on the west side of Peters Avenue just north of Bernal Avenue as surplus; the City determine that the market value for the property is $18,500.00; City shall notify all agencies required by law to be given first opportunity to purchase surplus property; City finds that the most appropriate development pattern for the area is for use as plottage to the adjacent parcel to the west (Marment) provided that the owner of the adjacent parcel is willing to pay the fair market value; and authorizing the City Manager to negotiate with the adja- cent property owner for purchase of the property, be adopted. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler NOES: None ABSENT: None Report on Request from East Bay Regional Park District for Annexation of Shadow Cliffs Park Mr. Walker presented his report (SR 84:98) dated February 23, 1984, regarding this matter. Mr. Jerry Kent, Assistant General Manager, East Bay Regional Park District, stated there would be an income to the City through annexation for the persury income tax, which amounted to approximately $4,700.00 per year. He stated that the District needs sewer service to the park and that lines are now in place up to the edge of the park. He advised the District has budgeted for the necessary improvement for hook up to the City sewer lines. 11. 2/28/84
