Resolution Making Application to LAFCO, Agreeing to Exchange of Property Tax Revenue, <br />and Initiating Prezoning - Annexation No. 106, Catholic Church <br /> Mr. Warnick presented his report (SR 84:96) dated February 22, 1984, regarding <br />this matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that <br />Resolution No. 84-111, making application to LAFCO for Annexation No. 106, Roman <br />Catholic Church property located southerly of the Bernal Avenue Extension; Resolution <br />No. 84-112, agreeing to the exchange of property tax revenue in connection with Annexa- <br />tion No. 106, Roman Catholic Church property located southerly of the Bernal Avenue <br />Extension; and Resolution No. 84-113, initiating prezoning for Annexation No. 106, <br />Roman Catholic Church property located southerly of the Bernal Avenue Extension, be <br />adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Recommendation for Disposal of Surplus Property - Northwest Corner Peters Avenue and <br />Bernal Avenue <br /> Mr. Walker presented his report (SR 84:65) dated February 3, 1984, regarding <br />this matter. He stated there has been a change in his recommendation since he had <br />written the staff report. He met with Mr. Marment, owner of the property adjacent <br />to the City property, who desires to purchase this property. Mr. Walker recommended <br />that he be authorized to negotiate with Mr. Marment for his purchase of the subject <br />property. <br /> <br /> Mr. George Marment, 403 Oak Lane, Pleasanton, stated he concurred with the recom- <br />mendation of the City Manager, and would agree to maintain the landscaping on this <br />parcel until such time as construction could commence on the parcel. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Council- <br />member Brandes, that Resolution No. 84-114, declaring the parcel of land (approxi- <br />mately 3,700 square feet) located on the west side of Peters Avenue just north of <br />Bernal Avenue as surplus; the City determine that the market value for the property <br />is $18,500.00; City shall notify all agencies required by law to be given first <br />opportunity to purchase surplus property; City finds that the most appropriate <br />development pattern for the area is for use as plottage to the adjacent parcel to <br />the west (Marment) provided that the owner of the adjacent parcel is willing to pay <br />the fair market value; and authorizing the City Manager to negotiate with the adja- <br />cent property owner for purchase of the property, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Report on Request from East Bay Regional Park District for Annexation of Shadow <br />Cliffs Park <br /> Mr. Walker presented his report (SR 84:98) dated February 23, 1984, regarding <br />this matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Jerry Kent, Assistant General Manager, East Bay Regional Park District, stated <br />there would be an income to the City through annexation for the persury income tax, <br />which amounted to approximately $4,700.00 per year. He stated that the District needs <br />sewer service to the park and that lines are now in place up to the edge of the park. <br />He advised the District has budgeted for the necessary improvement for hook up to the <br />City sewer lines. <br /> <br /> 11. 2/28/84 <br /> <br /> <br />
