Hayor Butler stated he had received a letter from the City of San Ramon requesting <br />that they be allowed representation on the Cable T.V. Citizens Advisory Committee of <br />the Valley. After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Mercer, recommending to the Cable T.V. Citizens Advisory Committee to <br />allow the City of San Ramon full membership on this committee. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Councilmember Wood initiated discussion regarding a policy statement relative to <br />annexations in the Happy Valley area, in order to retain the rural atmosphere desired <br />there by the homeowners. After discussion, Council instructed Councilmember Wood to <br />work with the Planning staff on this proposal and report back to Council on the matter. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> Councilmember Wood referred to a mailgram regarding the City of Berkeley not salut- <br />ing the flag at ACAP/ACTEB meetings. He advised the State has made it clear that Betk- <br />eley is to belong to this consortium, but that the Board of Supervisors will be voting <br />on that matter next Tuesday. He stated he advised the Board that the City of Pleasanton <br />is proud to salute the flag. <br /> <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> Mr. Gerald L. Goudreau, 5451 Corte Paloma, presented a written report to Council <br />entitled "Pleasanton Projections: Jobs and Working Residents by 12/31/86". <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />Application of Ken Gooch and Associates for a modification to the conditions of <br />approval of PUD-80-13 (Tract 5004), an approximately 10 acre residential project <br />consisting of 28 .single-family lots and an approximately 2.47 acre area set aside <br />for future townhouse development, located on the east side of Rowell Lane to elimi- <br />nate a required access way from the project to an adjacent City park (Kottinger Park). <br />Zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Medium Density Residential <br />District <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report (SR 84:06) dated January 9, 1984, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Butler declared the public hearing open on this item. <br /> <br /> Mr. Carl Walter, 627 Rowell Lane, representing the applicant, stated that Planning <br />Commission and Council have previously considered this matter and favorable approved <br />the elimination of the required access way from the proposed project to Kottinger Park <br />as a condition of approval, and that the residents on Rowell Lane support this action. <br /> <br /> Mr. Peter Foy, 531 Rowell Lane, spoke in favor of eliminating the access way at <br />the end of Rowell Lane to Kottinger Park. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in opposition to the elimination of the access way <br />from Tract 5004 to the park. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Butler declared the public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, that <br />Ordinance No. 1120, to be read by title only and waiving further reading thereof, <br />approving the application of Ken Gooch and Associates for a modification to the con- <br />ditions of approval of PUD-80-13 (Tract 5004), an approximately 10 acre residential <br />project consisting of 28 single-family lots and an approximately 2.47 acre area set <br />aside for future townhouse development, located on the east side of Rowell Lane to <br /> <br /> 6. 1/9/84 <br /> <br /> <br />
