Mr. Sword stated he was unaware of the <br />guidelines when he first started the project but after meetings with City <br />staff he had the opportunity of embracing the guidelines into the plan. He <br />stated the guidelines give great direction and were easy to work with, but he <br />would not like to see them enacted into an ordinance; preferring to keep them <br />more flexible. <br /> <br />Ms. Ann Doss, 6414 Alvord Way, stated she is generally in favor of the <br />project; it enhances the historical character of the downtown area. She <br />stated that as a student of downtown, she would like to add her support to the <br />project. <br /> <br />No one in the audience spoke in opposition to the application or the nega- <br />tive declaration. <br /> <br />There being no further testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing <br />closed on this item. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember But- <br />ler, that Resolution No. 85-242, determining on the basis of a review of ini- <br />tial environmental study done for this project, that no significant environ- <br />mental impact would occur as outlined in the City's guidelines and that a <br />negative declaration is appropriate in connection with PUD-85-3, application 0 <br />Sente Associates Main Street and Clyde Vaughn for PUD (Planned Unit Develop- <br />ment) zoning and development plan approval to development a two building <br />office/retail complex consisting of 20,004 sq. ft. and 22,440 sq. ft. struc- <br />tures, the former being the renovation of 450 Main Street and the latter being <br />new construction at 400 Main Street, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Wood <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, <br />that Ordinance No. 1195, to be read by title only and waiving further reading <br />thereof, approving PUD-85-3, application of Sente Associates Main Street and <br />Clyde Vaughn for PUD (Planned Unit Development) zoning and development plan <br />approval to develop a two building office/retail complex consisting of 20,004 <br />sq. ft. and 22,440 sq. ft. structures, the former being the removation of 450 <br />Main Street and the latter being new construction at 400 Main Street, subject <br />to all conditions contained in Planning Commission Resolution No. 2636, be <br />introduced. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AVES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Wood <br /> <br />RZ-85-5, Application of the City of Pleasanton to rezone an approximately 1.75 <br />acre site from the C-S Commercial Service District to the PUD Planned Unit <br />Development)-Medium Density Residential District or to any other zoning is- <br />trict consistent with the General Plan located at 607-675 St. John Street, <br /> <br />- 8 - <br /> <br />5-7-85 <br />
