GP-85-2, Application of the City of Pleasanton to change the General Plan Land Use <br /> designation of an approximatel~ 4.0 acre site located immediately north and west of ' <br /> the intersection of St. John Street and Pleasanton Avenue from Hig.~ Density Resi- <br /> dential to Medium Density Residential <br /> <br /> Consider Adoption of Ne..gative Declaration <br /> <br /> RZ-85-4, Application of the City of Pleasanton to rezone an approximately 7.0 acre <br /> site located immediately north and west of the intersection of St. John Street and <br /> Pleasanton Avenue from PUD (Planned Unit Development)-High Density Residential District <br /> to the PUD (Planned Unit Devel~pment)-Medium Density Residential District or to any . <br /> other zoning district consistent with the General Plan <br /> Mr. Harris presented his reports (SR 85:131 and SR 85:132) dated March 26, 1985, <br /> regarding these two items. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on the applications and the negative <br /> declaration. <br /> <br />- Ms. Marlene Hadley, 648 St. John Street, stated she would like to keep the area <br /> residential neighborhood because of traffic concerns. <br /> <br /> Mr. Duane Garman, 670 St. John Street, stated he wants the neighborhood to remain <br /> as it is. <br /> <br /> Mr. Tom Elsnab, Residential Review Committee member, stated this committee is in <br /> full agreement that the property should be medium density residential zoning designation. <br /> He stated that Pleasanton Avenue is a very narrow street and could not handle traffic <br /> from high density development. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing closed <br /> on the applications and the negative declaration. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that <br /> Resolution No. 85-156, determining on the basis of a review of initial environmental <br /> study done for this project, that no significant environmental impact would occur as <br /> outlined in the City's guidelines and that a negative declaration is appropriate in <br /> connection with GP-85-2, application of the City of Pleasanton to change the General <br /> Plan Land Use designation of an approximately 4.0 acre site located immediately north <br /> and west of the intersection of St. John Street and Pleasanton Avenue from High Density <br /> Residential to Medium Density Residential; and RZ-85-4, application of the City of <br /> Pleasanton to rezone an approximately 7.1 acre site located immediately north and west <br /> of the intersection of St. John Street and Pleasanton Avenue from PUD (Planned Unit <br /> Development)-High Density Residential District to the PUD (Planned Unit Development)- <br /> Medium Density Residential District, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that <br /> Resolution No. 85-158, approving GP-85-2, application of the City of Pleasanton to <br /> change the General Plan Land Use designation of an approximately 4.0 acre site located <br /> immediately north and west of the intersection of St. John Street and Pleasanton AvenUe <br /> from High Density Residential to Medium Density Residential District, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> 9. 3/26/85 <br /> <br /> <br />
