Mayor Mercer stated that based upon various meetings and conversations, he felt <br /> that most residents in this area do not support rezoning to multiple dwelling. He <br /> advised he could not support the rezoning because he felt it would ruin the character <br /> of the downtown area'. <br /> <br /> After further discussion, Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing re-opened and <br /> continued to the meeting of March 12, 1985, 8:00 P.M., in the Pleasanton Council <br /> Chambers, for full Council attendance. <br /> <br />.R~185-3, Application of the City of Pleasanton to rezone an approximately 25,500 sq. <br />ft. site located at the southwest corner of the intersection of Peters Avenue and <br />Division Street from RM-1500 (Multiple-family Residential) District to the "A" <br />_(A__~ricultural) District or to any other district consistent with the General Plan <br /> <br /> Consider Adoption of Negative Declaration <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report (SR 85:96) dated February 26, 1985, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on the application and the negative <br /> declaration. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in favor of or in opposition to this item. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that <br />Resolution No. 85-103, determining on the basis of a review of initial environmental <br />study done for this project, that no significant environmental impact would occur as <br /> Cit ' <br />outlined in the y s guidelines and that a negative declaration is appropriate in <br />connection with RZ-85-3, application of the City of Pleasanton to rezone an approxi- <br />mately 25,500 sq. ft. site located at the southwest corner of the intersection of <br />Peters Avenue and Division Street from RM-1500 (Multiple-family Residential) District <br />to the "A" (Agricultural) District, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Brandes <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that <br />Ordinance No. 1184, to be read by title only and waiving further reading thereof, <br />approving RZ-85-3, application of the City of Pleasanton to rezone an approximately <br />25,500 sq. ft. site located at the southwest corner of the intersection o~ Peters <br />Avenue and Division Street from P~-1500 (Multiple-family Residential) District to <br />the "A" (Agricultural) District, be introduced. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Brandes <br /> <br />Assessment District No. 1984-2 - Stoneridge Business Center <br /> Mr. Warnick presented his report (SR 85:93) dated February 26, 1985, recommending <br />that this item be continued to the meeting of March 12, 1985, at the request of the <br />owners of property in the District. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on this item. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke on the matter. <br /> <br /> 6. 2/26/85 <br /> <br /> <br />
