<br />Ordinance No. 1182, to be read by title only and waiving further reading thereof,
<br />amending Section 2-5.32 of Article 2 and Section 2-5.38 of Article 3, Chapter 2,
<br />Title II of the Ordinance Code of the Citv of Pleasanton to permit fences, walls, and
<br />hedges between 6 feet and 8 feet in height in side and rear yards, be introduced.

<br />Consider Adoption of Negative Declaration
<br /> Mr. Warnick presented his report (SR 85:74) dated February 12, 1985, regarding
<br />this matter.
<br />
<br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on the application and the negative
<br />declaration.
<br />
<br /> Mr. Peter Schnugg, partner of Trammell Crow, stated his firm is looking forward
<br />to developing their property and need the road put in place first. He advised they
<br />would like to start as soon as possible.
<br />
<br /> No one in the audience spoke in opposition to this item.

<br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing closed
<br />on the application and the negative declaration.

<br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that
<br />Resolution No. 8~-73, determining on the basis of a review of initial environmental
<br />study done for this project, that no significant environmental impact would occur as
<br />outlined in the City's guidelines and that a negative declaration is appropriate in
<br />connection with approval of plans, specifications, and agreement for the improvement
<br />of Avenue 'A', Trammell Crow property at the southwest corner of Santa Rita Road and
<br />1-580, be adopted.

<br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Council-
<br />member Butler, that Resolution No. 85-74, approving plans, specifications, and agree-
<br />ment for the improvement of Avenue 'A' Trammell Crow property at the southwest corner
<br />of Santa Rita Road, and 1-580, and authorizing execution of the agreement by the
<br />appropriate city officials, be adopted.
