<br /> ~pproximately 14.2 acre site located on the northeas~ corner of the intersection of
<br /> West Las Positas Boulevard and Hopyard Road. Zoning for the property is PUD (Planned
<br /> Unit Develop~ent)-Industrial, Commercial and Offices District
<br /> Mr. Harris presented his report (SR 85:45) dated January 22, 1985, regarding this
<br /> matter.
<br />
<br /> Mavor Mercer declared the public hearing open on this item.
<br />
<br /> Mr. Warren Sattler, representing Prudential Insurance Company7, presented render-
<br /> ings and schematic plans of the proposed project. He stated this application was
<br /> previously turned down by Council because of their concerns relative to the buildings
<br /> near Hopyard Road. He reviewed the changes made~ stating the three-story building
<br /> has been moved back 72 feet, making it now 20S feet from its edge to the edge of Hop-
<br /> yard Road. He stated the length of the building has also been reduced from 240 feet
<br /> to 205 feet, and the height reduced from 53 feet to 49~ feet. He stated that with
<br /> this change it caused reconfiguration of the two-story building. He reviewed the new
<br /> color scheme, landscaping plan, parking, and curb cuts. He stated the project will
<br /> accommodate both large and small tenants. He requested approval of the revised plan.
<br />
<br /> Mr. Chris Kinzel, TJKM, addressed the traffic concerns with emphasis on the en-
<br /> trance on Hopyard Road, and stated the site has the advantage of having access on four
<br /> sides making a good distribution of traffic.
<br />
<br /> No one in the audience spoke in opposition to this item.
<br />
<br /> There being no further testimony, Mavor Mercer declared the public hearing closed.

<br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Council-
<br />member Wood, that Resolution No. 85-58, approving PUD-81-30-26D, application of Pru-
<br />dential Insurance Company for design review approval to construct a two building,
<br />approximately 212,268 sq. ft., office complex on an approximately 14.2 acre site
<br />located on the northeast corner of the intersection of West Las Positas Boulevard
<br />and Hopyard Road, be adopted.
<br />The roll call vote was as follows:
<br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mavor Mercer
<br />NOES: None
<br />ABSENT: None

<br />Adoption of Ordinance No. 1176, Setting City Councilmembers salaries at $400.00 per
<br />month, to become effective following the 1986 Election

<br /> Mayor Mercer stated that Ordinance No. 1176 was introduced on January 7~ 1985,
<br />by a vote of 4-Ayes, 1-No, and that it was now in order to adopt the ordinance.
<br />
<br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that
<br />Ordinance No. 1176, setting City Councilmembers salaries at $400.00 per month, to
<br />become effective following the 1986 election, be adopted.
<br />The roll call vote was as follows:
<br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, and Mayor Mercer
<br />NOES: Councilmember Wood
