She thanked the City Coun- <br />cil for support of this program. <br /> <br /> Mayor Brandes also called attention to the Drunk Driving Enforcement Pro- <br />gram that will be initiated by the Pleasanton Police Department during the <br />Christmas season. <br /> <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCILMEMBERS <br /> Councilmember Butler stated that the Sewer Subcommittee of the City Coun- <br />cil met with representatives of Dublin San Ramon Services District and Alameda <br />County regarding a Joint Powers Agency to handle the sewage treatment and ex- <br />port expansion, and are getting close to agreement in forming the JPA. He <br />stated it is important that Council support this concept to acknowledge the <br />fact that progress is being made. He stated the Regional Water Quality Con- <br />trol Board is interested in seeing what progress is being made; and it will <br />also show the new City Council in Livermore what is being done so they can be <br />aware of their options. After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember But* <br />ler, and seconded by Councilmember Mercer, that Resolution No. 85-565, endors- <br />ing in principal a Joint Powers Agency between the City of Pleasanton, Dublin <br />San Ramon Services District, and Alameda County, to implement the Livermore- <br />Amador Valley Wastewater Management planning study. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mohr asked the Staff Traffic Committee to look into the pos- <br />sibility of placing a left turn pocket on Muirwood, south of Foothill High <br />School. <br /> <br /> - 2 - 12-3-85 <br /> <br /> <br />
