He suggested taking action only on the long term <br />agreements that the City has entered into. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on this item. <br /> <br /> Mr. Martin Inderbitzen, 62 W. Neal Street, stated he would <br />encourage proceeding along the lines suggested by Councilmember <br />Brandes. <br /> <br /> Mr. Frank Kneu, 1820 Carmel Avenue, Castro Valley, stated he <br />attended the meeting last night regarding the General Plan <br />Residential review and was impressed with the concern everyone <br />showed for a reasonable mix of land use; no group was favored and <br />no group was shut out. He stated it is important to continue <br />with this procedure. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the <br />public hearing closed on this item. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brandes stated he would favor approving the 500 <br />units for long term agreements and deferring the 1986 annual al- <br />locations until such time as City Council, and Planning Commis- <br />sion determine the population benchmarks. <br /> <br /> 10-15-85 <br /> - 15 - <br /> <br /> <br />
