It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Coun- <br />cilmember Mohr, that Ordinance No. 1225, to be read by title only <br />and waiving further reading thereof, approving RZ-85-15, applica- <br />tion of the City of Pleasanton to amend the Ordinance Code to <br />create an overlay district to establish design review procedures <br />and design standards for the Central Business District in that <br />area generally bounded by Bernal Avenue, First Street, Stanley <br />Boulevard, the railroad tracks of the Union Pacific Railroad, St. <br />John Street, and Peters Avenue (both sides of said streets), with <br />the changes presented in Staff Report 85:513, be introduced. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Wood <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Coun- <br />cilmember Mohr, that Resolution No. 85-500, adopting as Downtown <br />Pleasanton Design Guidelines for the overlay district the guide- <br />lines included in Chapter 3 et seq. of the Downtown Pleasanton <br />Revitalization brochure, and adding under "New Construction, <br />Building Form and Massing": - "BUILDINGS SHOULD BE TWO STORIES IN <br />HEIGHT WITH GROUND FLOOR RETAIL USE. No structures should exceed <br />twenty-five (25) feet in height, unless the proposed project is <br />consistent with the Guidelines and enhances the built context of <br />the site and surroundings", be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Wood <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Coun- <br />cilmember Mohr, that Resolution No. 85-501, adopting the designa- <br />tion of primary and secondary structures as shown on the exhibit <br />attached to Staff Report 85:513, deleting those at 275 and 261 <br />Rose Avenue, 4473 Railroad Avenue, 420 Main Street, and 150 Neal <br />Street, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Wood <br /> <br />PUD-84-4-4M, Application of Ralph Goodell and Associates/Valley <br />Medical Associates for mayor modification to an approved develop- <br />ment plan for a shopping center-medical office complex to in- <br />crease the size of the medical office building by 1,271 sq. ft. <br />for a total of 28,167 sq. ft. structure, on an approximately 7.7 <br />acre site located at the southeast corner of the intersection of <br />Santa Rita Road and West Las Positas Boulevard, immediately adja- <br />cent to the Exxon Station. Zoning for the property is PUD <br />(Planned Unit Development)-Commercial and Offices District <br /> Mr. Swift presented his report (SR 85:514) dated October 15, <br />1985, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on this item. <br /> <br /> - 12 - 10-15-85 <br /> <br /> <br />
