It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Coun- <br />cilmember Mohr, that Ordinance No. 1225, to be read by title only <br />and waiving further reading thereof, approving RZ-85-15, applica- <br />tion of the City of Pleasanton to amend the Ordinance Code to <br />create an overlay district to establish design review procedures <br />and design standards for the Central Business District in that <br />area generally bounded by Bernal Avenue, First Street, Stanley <br />Boulevard, the railroad tracks of the Union Pacific Railroad, St. <br />John Street, and Peters Avenue (both sides of said streets), with <br />the changes presented in Staff Report 85:513, be introduced. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Wood <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Coun- <br />cilmember Mohr, that Resolution No. 85-500, adopting as Downtown <br />Pleasanton Design Guidelines for the overlay district the guide- <br />lines included in Chapter 3 et seq. of the Downtown Pleasanton <br />Revitalization brochure, and adding under "New Construction, <br />Building Form and Massing": - "BUILDINGS SHOULD BE TWO STORIES IN <br />HEIGHT WITH GROUND FLOOR RETAIL USE.
