In the event a con- <br />~ tract cannot be let by May 6, 1986, developer may propose interim engineering <br />~ measures to mitigate the short-term impact of the project on existing Stanley <br /> Boulevard. Zoning for the <br /> property is PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Industrial, Commercial and Offices <br /> District <br /> Mr. Swift presented his report (SR 85:457) dated September 17, 1985, <br /> regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on this item. <br /> <br /> Mr. Richard Pogue, President of the Koll Company, 4309 Hacienda Boulevard, <br /> presented renderings and a model of the project. He reviewed in detail the <br /> design of the project and stated the easterly entrance to the project has been <br /> widened, and that the coloring will be brick instead of mauve. <br /> <br /> Mr. Earl Randall, 6610 Hansen, expressed concern about the number of peo- <br /> ple that would be employed, where the sewage will go, the sewer bills being <br /> high, and too rapid a growth for the City of Pleasanton. Mayor Mercer ex- <br /> plained that the sewage plant is currently being expanded to take care of in- <br /> creased sewerage and that it will be paid for by new users. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing <br /> closed on this item. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brandes expressed concern about the size of trees next to <br /> the Arroyo Mocho. <br /> <br /> Mr. Jeffery Hiller, landscape architect, stated they looked into the <br /> privacy question and because of this had included a double row of eucalyptus <br /> trees in the landscape plan. He stated this will provide screening to the <br /> existing residential area near the Arroyo Mocho. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mohr asked that trees be given their common names instead of <br /> Latin on the landscape plans. <br /> <br /> 12 9-17-85 <br /> <br /> <br />
