The property is zoned O (Office) District <br />~ This appeal has been withdrawn at the request of the applicant <br /> <br /> ~MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br /> Reconsideration of Appeal by the City Council of a decision of the Design <br /> ~eview Board approving Z-85-106, 107; Application of National Car Rental <br /> for design review approval to construct an automobile rental facility on an <br /> approximately 1.1 acre site located on the west side of Owens Court, <br /> approximately 750 ft. northwest of Owens Drive and Owens Court. Zoning for <br /> the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development) - Industrial, Commercial and <br /> Offices District <br /> Councilmember Brandes stated the concern was that they were completely <br /> fencing the operation with a chain link fence. <br /> <br /> Mr. John Ferreri, 865 Abbie St., stated he had agreed to change the <br /> security system preventing cars to be removed during the evening. He <br /> stated that a 3 ft. high, cemented 3 ft. deep, of black posts with chains <br /> between the posts is now being proposed. He stated there is shrubbery <br /> along the fence that, within a year, will conceal the fence. The chain <br /> link along the Caltrans fence is something he cannot control. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brandes stated that National should be commended for <br /> coming back with these revisions. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Wood and seconded by Councilmember <br /> Brandes to adopt Resolution No. 85-432, approving the modified plan as <br /> submitted by National Car Rental and rescinding the prior approval <br /> (Resolution 85-348). <br /> <br /> Adoption of Ordinance No. 1214, Approval of PUD-85-9, Application of GEF <br /> Financial Corporation for development plan approval to construct a two and <br /> three story, 132-unit retirement hotel complex on an approximately 2.5 acre <br /> site located on the southeast corner of Foothill Road and Stoneridge Drive <br /> (Intro. 8-20-85, 3-Ayes, 2-Absent) <br /> Mayor Mercer stated that Ordinance No. 1214 was introduced on <br /> August 20, 1985, by a vote of 3 Ayes, 2 Absent, and that it was now in <br /> order to adopt the ordinance. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember <br /> ~ohr that Approval of Ordinance 1214, approving the application'Of GEF <br /> Financial Corporation for Development Plan approval to construct a two and <br /> three story, 132-Unit Retirement Hotel Complex on an approximately 2.5 acre <br /> site located on the southeast corner of Foothill Road and Stoneridge Drive <br /> (PUD-85-9), be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmember Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> SPECIAL REPORTS <br /> There were no Special Reports presented at this meeting. <br /> <br /> 9-3-85 18 <br /> <br /> <br />
