Mr. Swift advised there is a time limit; his recollection is that the Hospital must start construction within two years from the date of the exemption agree- ment on the out-patient clinic and within five years for commencement of con- struction on the hospital. If they do not meet this commitment they will have to pay all assessed value fees in the various North Pleasanton Improvement Districts. Sidewalks on Sunol Boulevard Councilmember Wood requested staff to look into the possibility of in- stalling sidewalks on the east side of Sunol Boulevard between Arlington Drive and the Cemetery because of the hazardous condition of this area. Painting of Flag Pole at Veterans Building Councilmember Wood asked when the flag pole at the Veterans Building will be painted. Mr. Walker advised that as soon as the sprinkler System project is completed then the flag pole will be painted. Z-85-106, 107; National Car Rental Councilmember Wood stated that as one who voted in the majority for denial of the appeal of the City Council relative to the National Car Rental approval for design review approval., he would like to have this matter reconsidered after taking another look at the property. After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Vice Mayor Brandes, that Council recon- sider Z-85-106, 107; appeal by the City Council of a decision of the Design Review Board approving the application of National Car Rental for design re- view approval to construct an automobile rental facility on an approximately 1.1 acre site located on the west side of Owens Court, approximately 750 feet northwest of Owens Drive and Owens Court. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Mohr, Wood, and Vice Mayor Brandes NOES: None ABSENT: Councilmember Butler and Mayor Mercer Vice Mayor Brandes requested this item be set for consideration on Septem- ber 3, 1985, for full Council attendance. SB 300 - General Fund Monies for Transportation Councilmember Mohr stated that a measure is going through the Ways and Means Committee regarding use of general Fund monies for transportation, which she felt should be supported. It was moved by Councilmember Mohr, and secon- ded by Councilmember Wood, that a letter of support for SB 300 be transmitted to Assemblyman Bill Baker, a member of the Ways and Means Committee. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Mohr, Wood, and Vice Mayor Brandes NOES: None ABSENT: Councilmember Butler and Mayor Mercer Satellite Dish Ordinance Vice Mayor Brandes asked when Council would be considering the Satellite Dish Ordinance matter.
