REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS Actions Taken by the Board of Adjustment, Design Review Board, and PlanninG Commission at their meeting of 7-24-85 Mr. Swift presented his report (SR 85:354) dated July 25, 1985, regarding this matter. No action was required or taken by Council on the item. REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER Schedule For Reviewing Residential Review Committee Recommendations Mr. Walker presented his and Chandler Lee's report (SR 85:371) dated Au- gust 6, 1985, regarding this matter. Council concurred with the report and recommendations, directed staff to implement those recommendations, and established the dates of September 9th and 24th, 7:30 p.m., as dates to review the Residential Review Committee recommendations at a joint meeting with the Planning Commission, and with the Committee and any other interested persons. Mr. Ray Thompson, 1777 Rose Avenue, stated that he and several other prop- erty owners on Rose Avenue are in opposition to Rose Avenue being included in the Residential Review study. Vice Mayor Brandes stated that these concerns will be considered by Council at the time gf the study sessions. He instruct- ed staff to notify all residents on Rose Avenue who have concerns regarding this matter of the meetings scheduled in September. Mr. Scott Raty, Manager, Chamber of Colnmerce, stated this group had con- cerns about the traffic circulation at this intersection for downtown busi- nesses and met with City staff to review the plans. He stated he completely supports Aiternate l of the report. He thanked Mr. Walker, Mr. Okamura, Mr. Warnick, and Mr. Jost for working with the Chamber on this plan, which he feels is the best possible solution to the traffic problem. It was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that Resolution No. 85-387, approving Alternative 1: This alternative would allow the eastbound left-turn movement from Bernal onto Main, but would pro- hibit left-turns out of Main Street, the Main Street connection. to Bernal Avenue, under this alternative, would follow an S-curve alignment close to the Pleasanton Joint School District building and the Tymshare building, with 20 14 8-6-85
