No action was required or taken by Council on the item. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br />Schedule For Reviewing Residential Review Committee Recommendations <br /> Mr. Walker presented his and Chandler Lee's report (SR 85:371) dated Au- <br />gust 6, 1985, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Council concurred with the report and recommendations, directed staff to <br />implement those recommendations, and established the dates of September 9th <br />and 24th, 7:30 p.m., as dates to review the Residential Review Committee <br />recommendations at a joint meeting with the Planning Commission, and with the <br />Committee and any other interested persons. <br /> <br /> Mr. Ray Thompson, 1777 Rose Avenue, stated that he and several other prop- <br />erty owners on Rose Avenue are in opposition to Rose Avenue being included in <br />the Residential Review study. Vice Mayor Brandes stated that these concerns <br />will be considered by Council at the time gf the study sessions. He instruct- <br />ed staff to notify all residents on Rose Avenue who have concerns regarding <br />this matter of the meetings scheduled in September. <br /> <br />ApprOva__]_~_f_~]_an For ~he _~_!..gnjnent O_f~h..~_~tersection of First Street/Sunol <br />Boul evard/Bernal Avenue/Main Steet <br /> Mr. Okamura presented his report (SR 85:364) dated August 6, 1985, regard- <br />ing this matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Scott Raty, Manager, Chamber of Colnmerce, stated this group had con- <br />cerns about the traffic circulation at this intersection for downtown busi- <br />nesses and met with City staff to review the plans. He stated he completely <br />supports Aiternate l of the report. He thanked Mr. Walker, Mr. Okamura, Mr. <br />Warnick, and Mr. Jost for working with the Chamber on this plan, which he <br />feels is the best possible solution to the traffic problem. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, <br />that Resolution No. 85-387, approving Alternative 1: This alternative would <br />allow the eastbound left-turn movement from Bernal onto Main, but would pro- <br />hibit left-turns out of Main Street, the Main Street connection. to Bernal <br />Avenue, under this alternative, would follow an S-curve alignment close to the <br />Pleasanton Joint School District building and the Tymshare building, with 20 <br /> <br /> 14 8-6-85 <br /> <br /> <br />
