219 <br /> Road be rezoned to allow a neighborhood shopping center, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br /> NOES: Councilmember Mohr <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer recessed the meeting at 10:10 p.m. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer reconvened the meeting at 10:15 p.m. <br /> <br /> MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br /> Adoption of Ordinance No. 1204, Amendment to Growth Management Ordinance and <br /> Guidelines Establishing Exemption for Specified Projects Smaller than 50 Units <br /> in Size <br /> Mayor Mercer stated that Ordinance No. 1204 was introduced on June 18, <br /> 1985, by a vote of 3-Ayes, 2-Noes, and that it was now in order to adopt the <br /> ordinance. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Butler stated he had originally voted No on this matter be- <br /> cause he disagreed with the procedures that were decided upon and is still not <br /> satisfied with them but felt it would be appropriate so he will be voting in <br /> favor of the ordinance. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, <br />that Ordinance No. 1204, amending the Growth Management Program and guidelines <br />establishing an exemption for specified projects smaller than 50 units in <br />size, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />SPECIAL REPORTS <br /> There were no Special Reports presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br />Actions Taken by the Design Review Board and Planning Commission at their <br />meeting of 6-26-85 <br /> Mr. Swift presented his report (SR 85:327) dated June 27, 1985, regarding <br />this matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mohr, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, <br />that Council appeal the decision of the Design Review Board in approving Z-85- <br />106, 107; application of National Car Rental for design review approval to <br />construct an automobile rental facility on an approximately 1.1 acre site lo- <br />cated on the west side of Owens Court, approximately 750 ft. northwest of <br />Owens Drive and Owens Court. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer requested staff to include in the report the height of the <br />freeway sign as compared to the Super 8 sign. <br /> <br /> -9- 7-2-85 <br /> <br /> <br />
