Open from 7-15-86/ <br /> Mayor Brandes declared this public hearing continued Open to the meeting <br /> of September 2, 1986, 8:00 p.m., in the Pleasanton Council Chambers, at the <br /> request of staff. <br /> <br /> MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br /> Adoption of Ordinance No. 1264, Establishing a Speed Limit of 50 MPH on Hop- <br /> yard Road between West Las Positas Boulevard and 1-580 <br /> (Intro. 7-15-86, 4~Ayes, 1-Absent) <br /> Mayor Brandes stated that Ordinance No. 1264 was introduced on July 15, <br /> 1986, by a vote of 4-Ayes, 1-Absent, and that it was now in order to adopt the <br /> ordinance. <br /> <br /> Mrs. Elizabeth Glickman, 3229 Flemington Court, asked that the speed limit <br /> remain as it is now at 45 MPH. She stated this is a very dangerous section of <br /> road and that higher speeds will cause more accidents. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mercer stated he agrees with Mrs. Glickman, and will vote in <br /> opposition to the ordinance. <br /> <br /> - 10 8-5-86 <br /> <br /> <br />
