42.7 <br /> Appointment to Tri-Valley Community Television Corporation Board <br /> Mayor Brandes advised that the term of Charlotte Severin on the Tri-Valley <br /> Community Television Corporation Board expires July 1, 1986, and that she <br /> would like to be considered for reappointment to this Committee. It was moved <br /> by Mayor Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that Resolution No. 86- <br /> 306, reappointing Charlotte Severin as PleasantoB's representative on the Tri- <br /> Valley Community Television Corporation Board for a term of two years, said <br /> term to expire July 1988, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mercer, Mohr, and Mayor Brandes <br /> -- NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: Councilmember Wood <br /> <br /> Mayor Brandes stated that expansion of the Committee to include other Tri- <br /> Valley area cities is being considered by the Cable TV Committee. No action <br /> was taken by Council regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Liaison to East Bay Regional Park District <br /> Mayor.Brandes stated he recently had a meeting with officials of the East <br /> Bay Regional Park District, at which time it was suggested that Pleasanton <br /> have a liaison member to meet with the East Bay Regional Park District. Mayor <br /> Brandes stated he would like to appoint a member from the City Council and a <br /> member from the Park and Recreation Commission as liaison members to the East <br /> Bay Regional Park District to meet on a periodic basis. Council concurred. <br /> <br />CO d erms of Park and Recreation Commissioners <br /> Jack Keegan and Jacquie Oliverius will expire on August 15, 1986. He stated <br /> ~ that Jack Keegan is ineligible to be reconsidered for appointment as he has <br /> served two full four-year terms. Jacquie Oliverius is eligible for reappoint- <br /> ment. He advised that Jim Fields is the Alternate Member on this Commission. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by <br /> Councilmember Mercer, that Resolution No. 86-307, reappointing Jacquie <br /> Oliverius as a member of the Park and Recreation Commission for a four year <br /> term, said term to expire August 15, 1990; appointing Jim Fields as a Regular <br /> Member on the Park and Recreation Commission for a four year term, to fill the <br /> expired term of Jack Keegan, said term to expire August 15, 1990; and in- <br /> structing staff to advertise for the vacancy created as Alternate Member on <br /> the Park and Recreation Commission, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows" <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mercer, Mohr, and Mayor Brandes <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: Councilmember Wood <br /> <br /> CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> There were no City Council Committee Reports presented at this meeting. <br /> <br /> MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> Ms. Beverly Ball, 7510 Homewood Court, thanked Council for their support <br /> of the Dial-A-Bus program. She stated this service allows senior citizens the <br /> needed transportation to attend many activities which would otherwise be cur- <br /> tailed, and fills a great need in the community. <br /> <br /> Ms. Valerie Crosetti, 7280 Stonedale, representing the Valley Humane <br /> Society, stated that the animal shelter at Santa Rita will be closing soon, <br /> <br /> - 5 - 7-1-86 <br /> <br /> <br />
