Council concurred. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Wood requested that Council get public input relative to <br /> design and landscaping of the core area due to street closure for the railroad <br /> consolidation project. <br /> <br />-- Councilmember Butler presented a letter from the Librarians of Alameda <br /> County, Contra Costa County, and City of Livermore, requesting support for a <br /> federal grant to develop a plan for coordinated library service to the people <br /> in the Pleasanton, Dublin, San Ramon, Danville, and Livermore areas. Council- <br /> member Butler stated he has a petition if any Councilmember would like to sign <br /> in support of this issue. <br /> <br /> CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> Approval of Long Term Agreement with Shea Homes <br /> Councilmember Butler presented the report of the Long-Term Agreement Sub- <br /> committee, advising that Shea Homes agreement is the only application that can <br />Or) be recommended for early approval, basically because this is an on-going proj- <br /> ect and is partially built and needs to be continued to make it viable. <br /> <br />~-~ It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, <br />LL~ that Resolution No. 86-233, approval of the Long Term Agreement with Shea <br />l')') Homes, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br />~ AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> No one in the audience addressed the Chair. <br /> <br />-- PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> PUD-85-16, Application of Brad Caroline and Jon Westerlind for rezonin9 from <br /> RM-4000 (Multi-family Residential) District to the PUD (Planned Unit <br /> Development)-High Density Residential District and development plan approval <br /> to construct a two-story, two-unit apartment complex on an approximately <br /> 10,100 sq. ft. site with an existinq residence, located at 3939 Vineyard <br /> Avenue <br /> Mr. Swift presented his report (SR 86:186) dated May 20, 1986, regarding <br /> this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Brandes declared the public hearing open on the item. <br /> <br /> Mr. Jon Westerlind, 4487 Pleasanton Avenue, co-owner of the project, <br /> stated he agrees with the Planning Commission and staff recommendations, and <br /> especially as it concerns drainage in the back of the development. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in opposition to this application. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Brandes declared the public hear- <br /> ing closed. <br /> <br /> 6 - 5-20-86 <br /> <br /> <br />
