323 <br />PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Commercial District and development plan ap- <br />proval for a four building, 84,000 sq. ft. mini-storage facility on an ap- <br />proximately 1.45 acre site located at 3744 and 3768 Old Santa Rita Road, be <br />adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Counci'lmembers Butler, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> 6ouncilmember Mercer stated there are already approximately 2,260 mini- <br />storage units in Pleasanton, and with the ones approved at last Council meet- <br />ing and this application tonight, the total would be more than 3,700, which he <br />felt was excessive. He added that he did not like the floor area ratio of <br />this project. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mohr stated the merits of this project are that it is a low <br />traffic generator. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Wood stated he felt that if Council waited a little longer <br />they might get a better project for this property. <br /> <br /> After further discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Butler, and secon- <br />ded by Councilmember Mohr, that Resolution No. 86-211, approving PUD-86-3, <br />application of Public Storage, Inc., for rezoning from CS {Commercial Service} <br />District to PUD (Planned Unit Development}-Commercial District and development <br />plan approval for a four building, 84,000 sq. ft. mini-storage facility on an <br />approximately 1.45 acre site located at 3744 and 3768 Old Santa Rita Road, <br />subject to all conditions contained in Planning Commission Resolution No. <br />2779, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler and Mohr <br />NOES: Councilmembers Mercer, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> By the above vote, Resolution No. 86-210 denies the application of Public <br />Storage, Inc. <br /> <br />MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br />Re-introduction of Ordinance No. 1251, Authorizing the City to become the Ad- <br />ministering Agency for the Waters Right to Know Bill, AB 2185 <br />(Intro. 4-15-86, 4-A~es, 1-Absent} <br /> Mr. MacDonald presented his report (SR 86:183) dated May 1, 1986, regard- <br />ing this matter, requesting re-introduction of the proposed ordinance. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, <br />that Ordinance No. 1251, to be read by title only and waiving further reading <br />thereof, assuming local responsibility for implementation of AB 2185, Waters <br />Right to Know Bill, regarding hazardous material release response plans and <br />inventory, be re-introduced. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Adoption of Ordinance No. 1253, Approval of PUD-86-2, Application of Lee Reid <br />and Myers Development Corporation for rezoning from CS {Commercial Service} <br /> <br /> - 7 5-6-86 <br /> <br /> <br />
