He stated he would like a <br />staff report on the status of the project, alternatives available, etc., and a <br />review of what commitments Council has made. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mohr stated there was staff input as to whether the City <br />should take responsibility or form a non-profit corporation; at that particu- <br />lar time the non-profit corporation took title to the house. She advised that <br />Council did take action relative to the placement of the house on park proper- <br />ty; since then it has been decided to leave the house where it is. She stated <br />the City could take title and lease back to the non-profit corporation in <br />der to allow the project to move forward. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Wilson, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Brandes, instructing staff to contact the owners of the subject <br />property to see under what terms a park dedication arrangement can be nego- <br />tiated, and investigate the options and mechanics available to the City <br />regarding the Mohr House restoration project. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wilson, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />PUD-81-30-37D and PUD-81-30-17M, Application of Prudential Insurance Company <br />of America for a minor modification and design review approval to construct a <br />two-story, approximately 19,400 sq. ft. office building to be located on an <br />approximately 1.5 acre site located on the east side of Coronado Lane approxi- <br />mately 300 feet north of the intersection of West Las Positas Boulevard and <br />Corondao Lane. Zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development)- <br />Industrial/Commercial and Offices District <br /> Mr. Swift presented his report (SR 86:523) dated December 16, 1986, <br />regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on this item. <br /> <br /> Mr. Bob Gorlow, representing Prudential Insurance Company, presented back- <br />ground information regarding the Payco Company, stating this office will be <br />their western regional headquarters and they will own the building. He pres- <br />ented the site and design plans, stating it is similar to the other two-story <br />buildings in the area. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in opposition to the item. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing <br />closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, <br />that Resolution No. 86-577, approval of PUD-81-30-37D and PUD-81-30-17M, ap- <br />plication of Prudential Insurance Company of America for a minor modificatin <br />and design review approval to construct a two-story, approximately 19,400 <br />square foot office building to be located on an approximately 1.5 acre site <br />located on the east side of Coronado Lane approximately 300 feet north of the <br />intersection of West Las Positas Boulevard and Coronado Lane, subject to the <br />conditional of approval contained in Planning Commission Resolution No. 2876, <br />be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br /> 5 - 12-16-86 <br /> <br /> <br />
