211 <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mohr stated that a resident of Pleasanton Meadows was con- <br />cerned about traffic and the hospital driveway opening on Santa Rita Road. <br />Council concurred that all driveways are necessary to facilitate traffic in <br />and out of the medical complex. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Butler stated the concerns and reservations he had relative <br />to the project seem to have been solved. <br /> <br /> Mayor Brandes stated he will support the project with reservations, be- <br />cause of the needs of the community. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Mercer, <br />that Ordinance No. 1275, to be read by title only and waiving further reading <br />thereof, approving PUD-86-11, application of Valley Memorial Hospital for <br />rezoning from "P" (Public and Institutional) to PUD (Planned Unit <br />Development)-Public and Institutional District and development plan approval <br />for an approximately 488,000 square foot medical center complex consisting of <br />offices, behavioral medicine, skilled nursing, residential, acute/ambulatory <br />care, and related facilities to be constructed in four phases, to be located <br />on an approximately 27.7 acre site located at the northwest corner of the <br />intersection of Santa Rita Road and West Las Positas Boulevard, and approval <br />of the final design for the proposed Phase 1 project subject to conditions set <br />forth in Staff Report 86:419, be introduced. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />RZ-86-9, Application of the City of Pleasanton to amend the Municipal Code to <br />allow for fortune telling and related uses in "C" (Commercial1 and "0" (Of- <br />fice/ Districts <br /> Mr. Swift presented his report (SR 86:414) dated October 7, 1986, regard- <br />ing this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Brandes declared the public hearing open on this item. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in favor of or in opposition to the matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Brandes declared the public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, <br />that Ordinance No. 1276, to be read by title only and waiving further reading <br />thereof, approving RZ-86-9, application of the City of Pleasanton to amend the <br />Municipal Code to allow for fortune telling and related uses in "I-P" (In- <br />dustrial Park) and "I-G" (General Industrial) Districts, be introduced. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Mayor Brandes advised that item lOa would be considered at this time. <br /> <br />Adoption of Ordinance No. 1273, Relating to Regulation of Noise Created by <br />Skateboard Ramps <br />(Intro. 9-2-86, 5-Ayes/ <br />~Contd. from 9-16-86) <br /> <br /> 11 - <br /> <br /> <br />
