Mr. Richard Bressem, 4937 Monaco, presented a petition, signed by 282 residents, which read as follows: "We have recently learned that the Pleasanton School District is trying to sell the school property on the corner of Bernal and First Streets (old Pleasanton school). This field is in constant use for recreational softball, football, and soccer by both children and adults. Any development on this property would cause increased congestion on Bernal and First streets, and deprive South Pleasanton children and adults the use of the only sports field in the area. 17 - 4-7-87
