After discussion, it was moved by Mayor Mercer, and seconded by Council- <br />member Mohr, that the fees be waived for processing of the Conditional Use <br />Permit application by the Game Station at 4301 Valley Avenue. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Mohr, Wilson, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: Councilmembers Brandes and Butler <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer stated that the application for Conditional Use Permit for <br />the Game Station would be considered under the normal process by Planning Com- <br />mission and City Council. <br /> <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCILMEMBERS <br /> There were no matters initiated by Councilmembers at this meeting. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> Councilmember Butler advised that the Tri-Valley Wastewater Authority <br />would be considering the Environmental Impact Report at its meeting on August <br />19, 1987, 7:45 p.m., at the Pleasanton Council Chambers. He urged anyone in- <br />terested in this matter to attend the meeting. <br /> <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> Mr. Frank Belecky, 892 Madeira Drive, Secretary of Vintage Hills Home- <br />owners Association, presented a letter urging Council to establishing a four <br />way Stop for the intersection of Crellin Road-Madeira Drive and Vintner Way. <br />He also suggested that a speed limit sign be installed on Crellin Road both <br />eastbound and westbound at the edge of the Vintage Hills subdivision, and pos- <br />sibly a "Slow" legend be painted on the street at the intersection of Sylvaner <br />Drive-Sylvaner Court and Madeira Drive. He presented a survey he had taken; <br />21 responses were in favor of the four-way stop sign. He stated their concern <br />is for speeding, mostly by construction traffic resulting from construction <br />activity in the vicinity of the eastern portion of Crellin Road. He urged <br />Council to take action on this matter as soon as possible because of the very <br />dangerous situation that exists at this time. <br /> <br /> Mr. Howard Mendenhall, 1014 Vintner, stated he concurs with the comments <br />of Mr. Belecky; there is need for a four-way stop at this location. <br /> <br /> Mr. David Schilling, 802 Crellin, stated he strongly desires a four-way <br />stop in this intersection. <br /> <br /> After discussion, Mayor Mercer instructed staff to place this item on the <br />Consent Calendar on September 1, 1987, establishing a four-way Stop for the <br />intersection of Crellin Road-Madeira Drive and Vintner Way, and to post Speed <br />Limit signs on Crellin Road, and requesting that the signs be installed as <br />soon as possible thereafter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Phil Daniels, representing Stoneridge Townhouse Homeowners Associa- <br />tion, stated residents in this area are greatly impacted by noise from the <br />Hots Restaurant; he requested Council initiate an amendment to the noise or- <br />dinance to reduce the noise level between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 <br />a.m. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker stated that staff has been working with the residents for some- <br />time to get this matter resolved.
