Industrial/Commercial and Offices District to PUD (Planned Unit Develop- <br /> ment)-High Density Residential District, located generally in the area <br /> bounded by Hopyard Road, Inglewood Drive, Coronado Lane, and Chabot Canal, <br /> and to amend provisions of an existing development agreement affecting <br /> this site; and accompanying negative declaration. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brandes requested that the following public hearings be con- <br />tinued to the meeting of August 4, 1987: <br /> <br /> GP-87-7, Application of the City of Pleasanton to amend the Land Use Ele- <br /> ment of the General Plan: 1) to limit the total number of housing units <br /> which can be given Growth Management approval to a maximum of 1,000 per <br /> year; 2) to establish a population benchmark not to exceed 62,000 persons <br /> within the Pleasanton City limits by January 1, 1996; and 3) limit <br /> development within the San Francisco Specific Plan area not to exceed 500 <br /> persons by the year 1996, exclusive of other permitted uses; or any other <br /> amendments deemed in the public interest, and accompanying negative <br /> declaration. <br /> <br /> RZ-87-5, Application of the City of Pleasanton to rezone the approximately <br /> 152 acre TMI property located northeast of the intersection of Foothill <br /> Road and Bernal Avenue from PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Low Density <br /> Residential to R-1-40,000 (Single-family Residential) District or to any <br /> other zoning district consistent with the General Plan, and accompanying <br /> negative declaration. <br /> <br /> RZ-87-6, Application of the City of Pleasanton to amend the Growth Manage- <br /> ment Ordinance to eliminate extension of Growth Management approval beyond <br /> one year, revise procedures for exempt projects, modify the definition of <br /> exempt projects, or any other amendment consistent with the goals and <br /> policies of the General Plan, and accompanying negative declaration. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer asked if there was anyone in the audience who wished to speak <br />on these items who would not be present at the August 4th meeting. <br /> <br /> Mr. Jack Hovingh, 4250 Muirwood Drive, stated he concurred with the Plan- <br />ning Commission recommendations on the three items listed above. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Wilson requested that the following public hearings be con- <br />tinued to the meeting of August 4, 1987: <br /> <br /> GP-87-6, Application of Prudential Insurance Company of America to amend <br /> the Land Use Element designation of the General Plan for an approximately <br /> 12.4 acre site from Industrial/Commercial and Offices to High Density <br /> Residential, located generally in the area bounded by West [as Positas <br /> Boulevard, Tassajara Creek, and the Arroyo Mocho Canal, and accompanying <br /> negative declaration. <br /> <br /> PUD-87-15, Application of Prudential Insurance Company of America to re- <br /> zone an approximately 12.4 acre site from PUD (Planned Unit Development)- <br /> Industrial/Commercial and Offices District to PUD (Planned Unit <br /> Development)-High Density Residential District, located generally in the <br /> area bounded by West Las Positas Boulevard, Tassajara Creek, and the Ar- <br /> royo Mocho Canal, and to amend provisions of an existing development <br /> agreement affecting this site, and accompanying negative declaration. <br /> <br /> - 2 7-21-87 <br /> <br /> <br />
