195 <br /> The motion died for lack of a second. <br /> <br />Proposed Vineyard Avenue Study <br /> Councilmember Brandes stated that Vintage Hills homeowners would like to <br />know when the Vineyard Avenue study will be accomplished. <br /> <br /> Mr. Frank Belecky, 892 Madeira, representing Vintage Hills Homeowners As- <br />sociation, stated that this group is concerned about development along. Vine- <br />yard Avenue. He requested that a master plan of this area be completed before <br />allowing any more projects to be built. He felt only single-family dwellings <br />should be acceptable; there are too many multi-dwelling units on odd-shaped <br />lots now creating traffic problems. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brandes requested this matter be referred to the Planning <br />Commission for their review and recommendation. Mayor Mercer instructed staff <br />to refer the Master Plan for Vineyard Avenue to the Planning Commission for <br />their consideration. <br /> <br />Proposed Middle School on Busch Road <br /> Councilmember Brandes stated there seems to be some contraversy regarding <br />the location of the proposed middle school on Busch Road. He felt that since <br />the City had contributed $4 million towards the construction of a school Coun- <br />cil should have some say in the matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. MacDonald advised that any annexation proceedings would have to come <br />before Council, but that school boards can override the City's zoning by a 4/ <br />5th vote. <br /> <br /> No action was taken by Council on this matter. <br /> <br />Proposed Superior and Municipal Courts in Hacienda Business Park <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Mayor Mercer, that <br />all proposals relating to a proposed Superior Court or Municipal Court in the <br />Hacienda Business Park be scheduled as public hearings before the City Council <br />as these are significant changes of uses in the Hacienda Business Park. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brands, Butler, Mohr, Wilson, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> There were no City Council Committee Reports presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> Mr. Jack Hovingh, 4250 Muirwood, stated he felt the School District should <br />be held accountable to the City for the $4 million allocated by the City to <br />build a middle school. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />PUD-80-2-6D, Application of Bernal Avenue Associates for design review approv- <br />al to construct an approximately 35,500 sq. ft. retail commercial complex, to <br />be located on an approximately 6.9 acre site located in the area bounded by <br />Koll Center Drive, Koll Center Parkway, Bernal Avenue, and Valley Avenue. <br />Zonin9 for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Industrial/ <br />Commercial and Offices District <br /> <br /> - 6 6-16-87 <br /> <br /> <br />
