Zoning for the prop- <br /> erty is PUD (Planned Unit DevelopmentS-High Density Residential District <br /> <br /> Consider Adoption of Neqative Declaration <br /> (Continued Open from April 21, 1987I <br /> Mr. Swift presented his report (SR 87:174) dated April 21, 1987, regarding <br /> this matter, and a memorandum from the Director of Public Works, dated May 14, <br /> 1987, regarding West Las Positas Boulevard at Santa Rita. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on the application and the <br /> negative declaration. <br /> <br /> Mr. Louis Bunch, representing Trammell Crow, presented a slide show on <br /> various projects developed by Trammell Crow and renderings of the project to <br /> be constructed in Pleasanton. He stated it is a quality project that will be <br /> compatible to the Hacienda Business Park. <br /> <br /> Mr. Tom Stovall, Architect for the project, presented color renderings and <br /> landscape plans. <br /> <br /> Mr. Joe Callahan, representing Callahan, Sweeney, and O'Brien, stated the <br /> staff recommendations are acceptable to Trammell Crow and Callahan, Sweeney <br /> and O'Brien. He stated he will also accept the responsibility of the four <br /> conditions set forth in the memorandum of the Director of Public Works regard- <br /> ing West Las Positas Boulevard at Santa Rita. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in opposition to the application or the nega- <br /> tive declaration. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing <br /> closed on this item. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember But- <br /> ler, that Resolution No. 87-222, determining on the basis of a review of ini- <br />..... tial environmental study done for this project, that no significant environ- <br /> mental impact woulo occur as outlined in the City's guidelines and that a <br /> negative declaration is appropriate in connection with PUD-87-3, application <br /> of Trammell Crow Company and Callahart, Sweeney, and O'Brien for development <br /> plan approval for a 212-unit apartment complex, to be located on an approxi- <br /> mately 7.6 acre site located in the area bounded by Owens Drive, West Las <br /> Positas Boulevard, the abandoned Southern Pacific Transportation company rail- <br /> road right-of-way, and Tassajara Creek, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wilson, and Mayor Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brandes emphasized this has nothing to do with the low in- <br /> come housing exemption, which will be considered on June 2rid. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Wilson, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, <br /> that Ordinance No. 1314, to be read by title only and waiving further reading <br /> thereof, after making the finding that the development is consistent with the <br /> General Plan and purposes of the PUD Ordinance, approve PUD-87-3, application <br /> of Trammell Crow Company and Callahan, Sweeney, and O'Brien for development <br /> <br /> 8 - 5-19-87 <br /> <br /> <br />
