469 <br /> Mr. Frank Belecky, 892 Madeira, stated all the homes in this area will be <br />adversely impacted back yards will not be usable and it will lessen property <br />values. He advised that the four-way stop sign at Crellin/Vintner/Madeira has <br />improved traffic but the proposed development will seriously impact traffic. <br />He recommended the adoption of staff recommendations that construction traffic <br />come through the Texeira property. <br /> <br /> Mr. Ron Schneider, 650 Orofino Court, representing Vintage Hills Home- <br />owners Association, stated the main issue is grading. He felt the homeowners <br />should be more involved in the project in terms of how it will impact their <br />quality of life. <br /> <br /> Mr. Richard Glenn, Alexander and Associates, stated the this will be a <br />superior development, efforts are being made to mitigate the grading problems, <br />and no dirt will be removed from the property. <br /> <br /> There being no furLher testimony, Councilmember Wilson declared the public <br />hearin9 closed on the application and the negative declaration. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Wilson stated he felt the applicant should meet with the <br />neighbors in an attempt to resolve the concerns and problems associated with <br />this development. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brandes stated as far as he is concerned there will not be a <br />project unless a reasonable solution is made; he would not vote for any proj- <br />ect that has homes 33 feet above another house. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Wilson declared the public hearing reopened on this item, <br />and continued it to the meeting of January 5, 1988, 8:00 p.m., in the Pleasan- <br />ton Council Chambers. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer took over Chairing the meeting at this point. <br /> <br />AP-87-20, Appeal of a decision of the Design Review Board denyin9 Case Z-87- <br />488, an application of Spieker Partn~rs/H~th and Company for design review <br />approval to install a wall-mounted, internally illuminated sign on an existing <br />office buildin9 at 6000 Stoneridge Mall Road. Zonin9 for the property is CR <br />(Regional Commercial-Peripheral/ District <br /> Mr. Swift presented his report (SR 87:546) dated December 15, 1987, <br />regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on the appeal. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in favor of or in opposition to this item. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared 'the public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, <br />that Resolution No. 87-563, denying AP-87-20, appeal of a decision of the <br />Design Review Board denying Case Z-87-488, an application of Spieker Partners/ <br />Heath and Company for design review approval to install a.wall-mounted, inter- <br />nally illuminated sign on an existing office building at 6000 Stoneridge Mall <br />Road, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wilson, and Mayor Mercer <br /> <br /> - 17 12-15-87 <br /> <br /> <br />
