471 <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br /> There were no matters continued for decision presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br /> There were no reports of Boards and Commissions presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br />Review of Petition for Water Service in Sycamore Road <br /> Mayor Mercer declared this item continued to the meeting of January 19, <br />1987, at the request of staff. <br /> <br />Recalculation of Appropriations Limit (Proposition 4) <br /> Mr. Walker presented his report (SR 87:536) dated December 15, 1987, <br />regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Wil- <br />son, that Resolution No. 87-564, establishing an appropriations limit for the <br />Fiscal Year 1987-88 pursuant to Article XIIIB of the California Constitution, <br />at $17,911,887.00, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wilson, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer stated that item 14 - Communications, would be considered <br />next on the agenda. <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br />Letter from Leisure Sports, Inc., Requestin9 Extension of Sewer Permits <br /> Mr. Walker presented a letter from Leisure Sports, Inc., requesting an <br />extension of 24 months on their sewer permits. <br /> <br /> Mr. Steve Gilmore, 3320 Arbor Drive, requested extension of the sewer per- <br />mits because he has not been able to build on the site as originally planned <br />due to the market. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by <br />Mayor Mercer, that Resolution No. 87-565, granting a 24 month extension on <br />sewer permits for Leisure Sports, Inc., and that this type of matter will be <br />considered on an individual basis, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mohr, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: Councilmembers Butler and Wilson <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br />Johansen v. City <br /> Mr. MacDonald stated Council met earlier in Executive Session to discuss <br /> this case and that it was now in order to take action. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Wil- <br /> son, that Resolution No. 87-566, authorizing the settlement in the case of <br /> Johansen v.
