Ms. Keesling stated the proposed project is designated a neighborhood <br />shopping center; there is no other neighborhood shopping center where traffic <br />requires two traffic lights. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing <br />closed on this item. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Butler, that Resolution No. 87-510, denying AP-87-19, appeal by <br />the City Council of a decision of the Design Review Board's approval of Z-87- <br />403, application of Connolly Development, Inc., for approval of a traffic cir- <br />culation design of the recently approved approximately 113,000 sq. ft. commer- <br />cial complex located in the area bounded by Mission Drive to the north, Juni- <br />pero Drive to the south, and Sunol Boulevard to the west, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: Councilmember Mohr <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAINED:Councilmember Wilson <br /> <br />PUD-81-30-40D, Application of Pleasanton Community Partners and American Comm <br />Centers for desi n review approval to construct a single-story, approximately <br />i8,400 sq. ft. o~fice building to be located on an approximately 8.2 acre site <br />located at the southeast corner of the intersection of Stoneridge Drive and <br />Chabot Drive. Zonin for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development}- <br />Industrial Commercia~ and Offices District <br /> Mr. Swift presented his report (SR 87:504) dated November 17, 1987, <br />regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on this item. <br /> <br /> 'Mr. Frank Cottle, representing American Comm Centers, stated he would an- <br />swer any questions from Council. Councilmember Butler stated the in the lay- <br />out the suites are all the same size and asked if there was need for a mix. <br />Mr. Cottle advised there is no need for a mix because of their particular <br />operating format. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mohr asked about the length of the back wall. Mr. Bill <br />Ficker, Architect, stated the back wall faces the drainage canal, and they <br />will relieve it be articulating the corners. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in opposition to the item. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing <br />closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, <br />that Resolution No. 87-511, approving PUD-81-30-4OD, application of Pleasanton <br />Community Partners and American Comm Centers for design review approval to <br />construct a single-story, approximately 18,400 sq. ft. office building to be <br />located on an approximately 8.2 acre site located at the southeast corner of <br />the intersection of Stoneridge Drive and Chabot Drive, subject to conditions <br />set forth in Attachment A of Staff Report 87:504, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wilson, and Mayor MerCer <br /> <br /> - 7 - 11-17-87 <br /> <br /> <br />
