359 <br />and other items as provided in the draft resolution before the Council. <br />(Note: Draft resolution showed low income units set aside for ten years but <br />this was a clerical error in that the Council Resolution No. 87-352 approving <br />their exemption called for the units to be reserved for low income households <br />for fifteen years). <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, and Wilson <br />NOES: Councilmember Brandes and Mayor Mercer <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brandes requested that all applications pertaining to any <br />property that might possibly be included in the CDA District not be considered <br />under after definite boundaries are established, which should be by November <br />1st. Mr. MacDonald advised that this matter could not be acted on at this <br />meeting because it was not listed on the agenda. Councilmember Brandes asked <br />that this matter be placed on the agenda for October 6, 1987. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brandes requested a report from the Police Chief relative to <br />legislation to prevent convicted child molesters from having custody of their <br />children, such as the recent Belt case, for presentation to Senator Lockyer <br />for further consideration. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brandes stated there is an increased use of skateboards, <br />which he felt presented a dangerous situation. He requested this matter be <br />placed on the next Council agenda for discussion. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Wilson stated that PG&E trucks working on First Street are <br />creating a very dangerous situation for school children trying to cross the <br />street. Staff was instructed to investigate and resolve this problem. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Butler stated a dangerous situation exists with the <br />recentchange to Bernal where gravel trucks have no holding lane to turn into <br />the plant site. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> Councilmember Butler stated that TWA will again being considering the En- <br />vironmental Impact Report at their meeting on September 16, 1987. He advisd <br />there is lots of misinformation regarding this matter. <br /> <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> Mrs. C. J. Roseland, 662 Abbie Street, asked what is happening to the <br />school district property on First Street, and whether or not the City will <br />maintain the park area.
