207 <br /> <br /> committee comprised of two Pleasanton Meadows residents, two <br /> Livermore residents, one staff person from Pleasanton and <br /> Livermore, and one person from the Chamber of Commerce from <br /> Pleasanton and Livermore. He said the Homeowners Association <br /> felt this might work. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Butler thought this was a good suggestion and <br /> expressed support. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mohr requested that they be notified of the <br />Committee's meetings. Mayor Mercer said these would be public <br />meetings. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, seconded by <br />Councilmember Mohr, adopting Resolution No. 88-149 appointing a <br />committee as suggested by Mayors Mercer and Turner to study, <br /> evaluate, and make recommendations regarding the Livermore <br />Airport. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wilson, and <br /> Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Resignation of Peter MacDonald <br /> Mayor Mercer stated that City Attorney, Peter MacDonald, <br />has submitted his resignation in order to enter private <br />practice. He commended him for his expertise in handling city <br />matters. He suggested that the City Manager begin to recruit <br />for a replacement as soon as possible. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brandes suggested that the City Manager <br />select several consulting firms to aid in the recruitment. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer agreed with Councilmember Brandes and sa~d he <br />would like this done by the next Council meeting. <br /> <br />Tree Donation-Dean Schenone <br /> Mayor Mercer reported that Dean Schenone of Pacific Nursery <br />has donated 40 full-grown trees to the City of Pleasanton. He <br />felt a resolution of appreciation was in order. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Wilson, seconded by <br />Councilmember Brandes, that Resolution No. 88-150 expressing <br />appreciation for the gift of 40 trees from Dean Schenone of <br />Pacific Nursery, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote ~as as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wilson, and <br /> Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Traffic siqO at Northway/Harvest <br /> Mayor Mercer requested that this item be placed on the <br />agenda for the next meeting. <br /> <br /> Page 7 4-5-88 <br /> <br /> <br />
