191 <br /> <br />Housing Element of the General Plan to limit the total number of <br />housing units which can be given Growth Management approval to a <br />maximum of 850 units for market rate projects, with the <br />potential to consider exempt projects up to 1,000 units maximum <br />(for low income plus market rate), to retain the 5 unit <br />exemption, and to keep in effect the State of the City <br />Evaluation, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, and Wilson <br />NOES: Councilmember Brandes and Mayor Mercer <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />item 9f <br /> <br />Public Heari. Qg_~g~E~iOg Weed Abatement Proqram for 1988 <br /> Mr. Walker presented the re~ort (SR:88-154) dated April 5, <br />1988, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on this item. <br /> <br /> Nathan Meeks, Ponderosa industries, stated that they were <br />working with the fire department regarding the weed abatement <br />program. In the meantime, he said somebody from the fire <br />department came to cut the weeds. He expressed disappointment <br />that his company did not have a chance to handle this. <br /> <br /> Mr. Hill, Fire Chief responded that the weed abatement <br />program has not yet gone into effect and no one was authorized <br />to cut any weeds. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Wilson, seconded by <br />Councilmember Mohr, that Resolution No. 88-156 approving the <br />1988 Weed Abatement List and authorizing the appropriate staff <br />members to proceed with the abatement on properties set forth in <br />Resolution 88-102, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Commissioners Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wilson, and <br /> Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />item 9g <br /> <br />Adoption of Three-Year CaQital ISprovement Budq~ <br /> Mr. Walker presented the staff report. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on this item. <br /> <br /> Charlotte Severin, Chairperson of the Amador Theatre <br />renovation, represented a number of people who supported that <br />project, which is included in the Capital Improvement Budget. <br />She noted that Richard Samson of CH2M Hill and Mike Goldsworthy <br />were present to answer any questions. <br /> <br /> David Malander, 7988 Limewood Court, encouraged the Council <br /> <br /> Page 15 4-5-88 <br /> <br /> <br />
