107 <br /> <br /> CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> There were no City Council Committee Reports presented at this meeting. <br /> <br /> MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> Mr. Leo Heckathorn, 4202 Stanley Boulevard, stated he read in the news- <br /> paper that the 1989 Soccer Olympics will be held in Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> Mr. Ron Berkheiser, 1893 Cortez Court, stated there is a leaf blower in <br />.operation between 2:00-5:00 a.m. at the Amador Shopping Center parking lot <br /> which creates a disturbing noise to surrounding residences. He asked if Coun- <br /> cil could change the ordinance code to outlaw or put time restrictions on such <br /> operations. After discussion, Mayor Mercer instructed staff to prepare a re- <br /> port for the next agenda setting forth options that would control leaf blowing <br /> operations during certain hours. <br /> <br /> PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> AP-88-06, Appeal by Terry O'Connor of a decision of the Design Review Board <br /> (Z-87-452) denying the application to modify an existing residential structure <br /> for continued residential use and to construct a three-story, four-unit apart- <br /> ment complex at the rear of the site located at 148 Spring Street. Zoning for <br /> the property is C-C (Central Commercial) District <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing Open on this item, and continued <br /> it to the meeting of March 15, 1988, 8:00 p.m., in the Pleasanton Council <br /> Chambers, at the request of staff. <br /> <br /> PUD-80-2-9D~ Application of Bernal Avenue Associates for design review approv- <br /> al to construct a four-building approximately 119,580 sq. ft. office/light <br /> industrial complex to be located generally in the area bounded by Koll Center <br /> Parkway~ Interstate 680, and the Arroyo Del Valle. Zoning for the property is <br /> PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Industrial/Commercial and Offices District <br /> Mr. Swift presented his report (SR 88:88) dated March 1, 1988, regarding <br />this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on this item. <br /> <br /> Mr. Jim Gresham, representing the Koll Company, stated he concurred with <br />the staff report. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in opposition to this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember But- <br />ler, that Resolution No. 88-99, approval of PUD-80-2-9D, application of Bernal <br />Avenue Associates for design review approval to construct a four-building ap- <br />proximately 119,580 sq. ft. office/light industrial complex to be located <br />generally in the area bounded by Koll Center Parkway, Interstate 680, and the <br />Arroyo Del Valle, subject to condition contained in Planning Commission <br />Resolution No. PC-88-16, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wilson, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br /> There were no matters continued for decision presented at this meeting. <br /> <br /> - 5 - 3-1-88 <br /> <br /> <br />
