Mayor Mercer instructed staff to investigate this matter. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> There were no City Council Committee Reports presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> No one in the audience addressed the Chair. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />RZ-87-12~ Application of Renee Spiliotopoulos to rezone an approximately 0.43 <br />acre site from the R-1-6500 (Single-family Residential) District to the C-C <br />(Central Commercial) District located at 824/830 Main Street and 357 Ray <br />Street <br /> <br />Consider Adoption of Negative Declaration <br /> Mr. Swift presented his report (SR 88:46) dated February 2, 1988, regard- <br />ing this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on the application and the <br />negative declaration. <br /> <br /> Mr. Brad Hirst, 6280 West Las Positas, representing the applicant, stated <br />this application is to accommodate the lot line adjustment to make the entire <br />Cheese Factory site zoned uniformly. He stated he supports the staff report. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in opposition to the item. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing <br />closed on the application and the negative declaration. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, <br />that Resolution No. 88-52, determining on the basis of a review of initial <br />environmental study done for this project, that no significant environmental <br />impact would occur as outlined in the City's guidelines and that a negative <br />declaration is appropriate in connection with RZ-87-12, application of Renee <br />Spiliotopoulos to rezone an approximately 0.43 acre site from the R-1-6500 <br />(Single-family Residential) District to the C-C (Central Commercial) District <br />located at 824/830 Main Street and 357 Ray Street, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wilson, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, <br />that Ordinance No. 1353, to be read by title only and waiving further reading <br />thereof, and finding that the proposed C-C (Central Commercial) zoning dis- <br />trict is consistent with the goals and policies of the General Plan, approve <br />RZ-87-12, application of Renee Spiliotopoulos to rezone an approximately 0.43 <br />acre site from the R-1-6500 (Single-family Residential) District to the C-C <br />(Central Commercial) District located at 824/830 Main Street and 357 Ray <br />Street, be introduced. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wilson, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> 5 - 2-2-88 <br /> <br /> <br />
