NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Review proposed Housing and Community Development (HCD) projects <br />(to be funded with Federal Housing and Community Development Act <br />funds) for the next three program years (1988-91). Project pro- <br />posals have been submitted by various city departments and non- <br />profit agencies. The list of proposed projects will be reviewed, <br />prioritized, and considered along with any other project <br />proposals. <br /> Mr. Swift presented his report (SR 88:33) dated January 19, <br />1988, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on this item. <br /> <br /> Ms. Helen Meier, representing Tri-Valley Haven, requested <br />support for their request for furniture, repairs, and equipment <br />for this facility to make the shelter safe. <br /> <br /> Mr. Bruce Fiedler, representing Pleasanton Gardens, requested <br />funds to provide for perimeter lighting, new locks, vents in the <br />roof to cool attic areas, and effective landscape irrigation for <br />Pleasanton Gardens, to meet safety, security, health and energy <br />conservation needs for the residents of the facility. <br /> <br /> Ms. Kay McKeown, representing Valley Community Health Clinic, <br />asked Council to approve staff recommendations. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the <br />public hearing closed on this item. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Mayor <br />Mercer, that Resolution No. 88-31, approval of approximately <br />$225,000 funds in the Housing and Community Development budget <br />for 1988-91 as follows: (1) Kottinger Place - $70,000; (2) <br />Kaleidoscope Center - $17,600; (3) Valley Community Health Center <br />- $75,000; (4) Tri-Valley Haven - $28,400; (5) Bay Area Community <br />Services - $15,000; and (6) Pleasanton Gardens - $19,000, be <br />adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wilson, and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Resolutions Making Application to LAFCO and Agreeing to the Ex- <br />change of Property Tax Revenue for Annexation No. 122r Alameda <br />County on Bernal Avenue <br /> Mr. Elliott presented his report (SR 88:31) dated January 19, <br />1988, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on the <br />application. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in favor of or in opposition to <br />the item. <br /> <br /> - 9 - 1-19-88 <br /> <br /> <br />
