Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Coun- <br /> cilmember Wilson, that Resolution No. 88-32, making application <br /> to LAFCO for Annexation No. 122, Alameda County on Bernal Avenue; <br /> and Resolution No. 88-33, agreeing to the exchange of property <br /> tax revenue in connection with Annexation No. 122, Alameda County <br /> on Bernal Avenue, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wilson, and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Resolutions Making Application to LAFCO and Agreeing to the Ex- <br />change of Property Tax Revenue and Initiating Prezoning for An- <br />nexation No. 120 (Harris) <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing Open on this item, <br />and continued it to the meeting of February 2, 1988, 8:00 p.m., <br />in the Pleasanton Council Chambers, at the request of staff. <br /> <br />MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br />Adoption of Ordinance No. 1349, Approval of PUD-80-15-5D, Ap- <br />plication of Tioga Construction company to rezone an approximate- <br />ly 3.63 acre site to PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Commercial <br />District to accommodate automobile wash, service station, food <br />mart, restaurant and retail uses as permitted uses, and to ap- <br />prove a development plan for an approximately 30,142 sq. ft. <br />mixed use commercial complex located at the southeast corner of <br />Santa Rita Road and Pimlico Drive <br />(Intro. 12-15-87, 4-Ayes, 1-No) <br />(Re-intro. 1-5-88~ 3-Ayes, 2-Noes) <br /> Mayor Mercer stated that ordinance No. 1349 was introduced on <br />December 15, 1987, by a vote of 4-Ayes, 1-No, was re-introduced <br />on January 5, 1988, and that it was now in order to adopt the <br />ordinance. <br /> <br /> Mr. Carl Cox, 2353 Saddleback Drive, Danville, operator of <br />Shell Station on Hopyard, stated he met with representatives of <br />the Pleasanton Meadows area. As a result, he is willing to re- <br />place the convenience store with a 720 sq. ft. snack bar. He <br />stated that Shell and Tioga Construction have agreed that con- <br />struction of the retail building will begin before the Shell Ser- <br />vice Station can begin operating. Mr. Cox asked for a Special <br />meeting of the City Council on January 28th, to approve the <br />second reading of the ordinance. He asked for Council's unani- <br />mous approve of the project. <br /> <br /> Mr. David Baxley, 3911 Fairlands, stated that after meeting <br />with the developer compromises have been made and he feels this <br />project should be allowed to go ahead. <br /> <br /> Mr. Jim Dillon, 4288 Churchill, stated he is in favor of the <br />project; without the sale of alcoholic beverages the facility <br />will be a plus to the community. <br /> <br /> - 10 - 1-19-88 <br /> <br /> <br />
