375 <br /> <br />basis of a review of an initial environmental study done for this <br />project, that no significant environmental impact would occur as <br />outlined in the City's guidelines and that a negative declaration <br />is appropriate in connection with PUD-88-12, application of Frank <br />Auf der Maur for development plan approval to develop ten parcels <br />and related improvements for service commercial uses to be located <br />on an approximately 38 acre site located generally in the area <br />south of the intersection of Bernal/Valley Avenues and Stanley <br />Boulevard. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Tarver, anbd Mayor <br /> Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> After finding that the development plan to be consistent with <br />the General Plan and the purposes of the PUD Ordinance, it was <br />moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, <br />that Ordinance No. 1391, be introduced, to be read by title only <br />and waiving further reading thereof, approving PUD-88-12, <br />application of Frank Auf der Maur for development plan approval to <br />develop ten parcels and related improvements for service <br />commercial uses to be located on an approximately 38 acre site <br />located generally in the area south of the introsection of <br />Bernal/Valley Avenues and Stanley Boulevard, subject to the <br />conditions set forth in Staff Report 88:543, and subject to a <br />further condition requiring additional landscaping in the amount <br />of $39,000.00. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Tarver, and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />item 9h <br />SP-88-1, Application of the City of Pleasanton to adopt a Specific <br />Plan for the Downtown Pleasanton area includinq land use, <br />circulation, parking and design policies and improvements <br />encompassing an area qenerally bounded by Bernal Avenue, First <br />Street, Stanley Boulevard, Rose Avenue, and Pleasanton Avenue <br /> Mr. Swift presented his report (SR 88:560) dated December 6, <br />1988, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer emphasized this item is separate from the <br />Community Development Agency redevelopment plan and comments <br />should only address the downtown specific plan. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on this item. <br /> <br /> Mrs. Bey Davis, 5690 Sonoma, President of the Chamber of <br />Commerce, representing over 1,000 members, thanked the Council for <br />their support of the downtown. She stated they appreciate the <br />staff and Planning Commission recommendation for support of the <br />changes relative to the retail use of ground floor space in the <br /> <br /> - 18 - <br /> 12-6-88 <br /> <br /> <br />
