377 <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brandes stated he has several concerns <br />regarding this project as it relates to Building Pad F, how the <br />back of this project will look, what kinds of business will be <br />located there - especially the anchor tenants, and the hours of <br />operation, specifically night time or 24-hour day use. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Tarver stated he would like to know the amount <br />of land use that has changed in North Pleasanton since the General <br />Plan amendment was approved in terms of retail uses, high density <br />residential use, and other uses, since Measure A. He stated he <br />shares the concerns regarding length and height and the <br />massiveness of this project as well as the deliveries in the back <br />and traffic considerations. He stated there seems to be some <br />major issues to overcome. However he would not disagree with <br />chang-ing the zoning in order to put retail in North Pleasanton to <br />satisfy the needs, but he is not sure this is the project and that <br />Council couldn't do better. <br /> <br /> Vice Mayor Butler declared this public hearing continued Open <br />to the meeting of January 3, 1989, 7:30 p.m., in the Pleasanton <br />Council Chambers. He directed staff to assist in the meeting <br />between the developer and the concerns citizens. <br /> <br />item 9g <br />PUD-88-12, Application of Frank Auf der Maur for development plan <br />approval to develop ten parcels and related improvements for <br />service commercial uses to be located on an approximately 38 acre <br />site located generally in the area south of the intersection of <br />Bernal/Valley Avenues and Stanley Boulevard. Zoning for the <br />property is PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Commercial District <br /> <br />Consider Adoption of Negative Declaration <br /> Mr. Swift presented his report (SR 88:543) dated December 6, <br />1988, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on the <br />application and the negative declaration. <br /> <br /> Mr. John Corley, Attorney representing the applicant, stated <br />he concurs with the staff report. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer asked if the property owners would be willing to <br />pay for additional landscaping in the approximate amount of <br />$39,000.00. Mr. Corley stated they would not be agreeable to <br />that expenditure. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in opposition to the item. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the <br />public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Mohr, that Resolution No. 88-567, be adopted, on the <br /> <br /> - 17 - <br /> <br /> 12-6-88 <br /> <br /> <br />
