385 <br /> <br />expectation of what she had when she brought it forward. <br /> <br />After finding that the amendment to the Municipal Code is <br />consistent with the General Plan and with the purposes of the C-N <br />(Neighborhood Commercial) zoning district, it was moved by <br />Councilmember Mohr, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, that <br />Ordinance No. 1390, to be read by title only and waiving further <br />reading thereof, approving RZ-88-11, application of the City of <br />Pleasanton to amend the Municipal Code to allow "automobile supply <br />stores, no service" as a permitted use in the C-N (Neighborhood <br />Commercial) District, be introduced. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Tarver, and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />item 9f <br />PUD-80-16-3D, Application of Pactel Properties for development <br />plan approval to construct a multi-buildinq, approximately 103,160 <br />sq. ft. retail commercial complex to be located on an <br />approximately 9.75 acre site qenerallv in the area bounded by <br />Hopyard Road, Stoneridqe Drive, Franklin Drive, and Johnson Drive. <br />Zoning for the property is Industrial/Commercial and Offices <br />District <br /> Mayor Mercer stated that his employer, Pacific Bell, is a <br />subsidiary of Pactel, therefore he would abstain because of a <br />conflict of interest. <br /> <br /> Mr. Swift presented his report (SR 88:559) dated December 1, <br />1988, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Vice Mayor Butler declared the public hearing open on this <br />item. <br /> <br /> Mr. Tom Gillette, representing Pactel Properties, asked for <br />approval of the application. <br /> <br /> The following persons spoke in opposition to the <br />application: <br /> <br /> Ms. Gail Gerhke, 6042 Allbrook Circle, submitted a petition <br />voicing concern about the zoning change. <br /> <br /> Ms. Debra Bruce, Senior Vice President, representing <br />Independence Savings and Loan, stated they are concerned about <br />Bradley Drive being made a private street; they feel it should be <br />maintained as a public street. They are also concerned about the <br />height of the building and feel the height should be reduced.
